And the poll tax decision makes the new laws here unconstitutional. Now lets get them to admit it

You think *THESE* guys will ever give a flying F about our rights? Or not laugh in your face when you ask them to apply their idea of the rule of law equally?

Speaking of immunities did you see that California now requires immunization shots to go to public school. Next will be god trackers so they don't get lost and can easily be found

People can always home school or pay for their children's education (beyond their forced taxation). And in a state that faces a massive flood of immigrants who carry life threatening diseases, I don't think it is all that crazy. I wouldn't want to send any child of mine into a pool of potential disease.

Does the far right still want to privatize all of education? I'm not asking to be a dick, I truly don't know where they stand anymore on this issue.

Yes! A new thread mixing immigration, immunization and education choices? What can go wrong? [Sarcasm2]

used to not be until 2014 but we still have religious and medical exemptions, from what I understand about the new Cali one, it is forced no matter what your beliefs.

I don't think any religion says that you can infect your fellow man with potentially deadly diseases because you're stupid.

We already have CCW reciprocity - it is called the 2nd amendment - each state signed on to the 2nd when they joined the union

Wet dream that isn't happening. This country is all about unequal enforcement of law and has been for quite some time.

You got that right. Selective law enforcement + inequality under the law = No rule of law.

Article here. (http://bearingarms.com/scotus-ruling-sex-marriage-mandates-nationwide-concealed-carry-reciprocity/?utm_source=bafbp&utm_medium=fbpage&utm_campaign=baupdate)
(http://No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States)
Really the logic is sound. If the government puts itself in a position to legislate personal choices based on individual rights, that should extend to other personal choices which are lawful so "No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States"

Damn it read my reply about this in the other thread. The logic is totally and completely flawed and shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the ruling and basic law.

This is the problem with people basing their opiniona on short, carefully chosen to support their side, excerpts from the media vs. reading the opinion itself.

The court goes through a whole bunch of gyrations and acrobatics to say why marriage is a special social construct and as such needs/has to be applied everywhere.

We have had the 14th ammendment for a long time, and we even had a SCOTUS ruling about its application to restrictive gun laws (hint: we won). But nothing there says that a license must be honored everywhere. Again, see the gymnastics mentioned above

The constitution is irrelevant ... we no longer live in a Constitutional Republic, we live in an Administrative/Bureaucratic State under a Judicial Oligarchy that uses "constitutional arguments" as window dressing for "rule by fiat".

For that matter discussion of "the law" is irrelevant as "the law" is whatever whomever has the power to enforce it says it is.

Things are going to get interesting.

It's already been 'interesting'. Selective enforcement of the law has been going on for a while now.

The arming of the populace is not in their best interest.

This is interesting, for sure. More people own more guns, more ammo, and more armor than ever before.

I laughed. i swear some people think this is reality though.....like they only pull their heads out of the sand long enough to stir up shite then back in the sand before the counter argument or evidence is presented.
