I currently carry a kahr cm9, but have been considering going to a g26. I was going to get a g43 but saw that it's not much thinner than the g26 and it only weighs 6oz more than my cm9. In the past I have carried a xd subcompact but hated carrying it over time due to size and weight. Compared the xd and g26 and found out an empty xd weighs as much as a fully loaded g26. I also AIWB carry so I was thinking this may help with moving up in size.

Why am I considering the change cause the g26 feels like my g17 with a pinky extension mag, it can take my g19/17/18 mags. I get 4 more rounds. I shoot it much better than my cm9.

I'm just wondering if anyone has gone up in size with there ccw and never looked back, was it more difficult to conceal, did you print more, did the extra weight bother you, any additional insight would be appreciated?

On a side note I have put on weight since getting married and my shirts that use to be loose in the midsection are less baggy. I am to short to buy large shirt, I need to look at the short and fat store. I mentioned this cause I don't want to be printing every time a carry. Thanks for any advice/ insight!

You probably made your decision by now since you posted this back in June but.... I have the G26 9mm and G27 40 cal and G36 45 cal and all of them feel the same to me. I used to buy tuck in shirts and have my mother in law cut them off square and sew them up so I could wear IWB holsters for them. Never had a problem with any of them either.

Zombie thread! The G26 is my daily carry, along with a G17 mag with factory +2 extension. Hard to beat 30 rounds in a compact package with only one spare mag.
