I'm not a huge believer in needing to be politically correct everywhere I go, but there are a handful of smilies on the list that might have been somewhat acceptable 20 years ago, but really are pretty embarrassing to us as a community at this point. I'd like to suggest staff maybe take a look at see if all the smilies still reflect the community we want to offer here. Maybe we can get some new ones, too? :)

Anyway, just a thought.

"PC Curious" are we?????[ROFL3]

Bullshit, bullshit and more bullshit.
As a couple of posts up states, to hell with "PC".

Every time somebody bows to it, it gets stronger.

I shall not bow.
I shall die on my feet.
I shall not live on my knees.

I think we need more smilies that the PC crowd would find offensive.

This tapatalk app has the lamest smilies ever.

Not that anyone asked, but my only issue (which I've never voiced here) is that this is supposed to be a family friendly site, but we have 'tea bagging' smilies and bangin' bananas... It's not about political correctness, it's about decency.

In reality the smilies were installed as a pack with several hundred options when users requested more smilies to use. The pack is easy to install all at once, and not so easy to cherry pick from.

If we get an overwhelming response to remove some, I'll spend the time to do it, but for now, I'd suggest that people be selective and not use the options they find offensive.

People can (and often do) say or type words far more offensive here than any of the icons. Both will be moderated for the content and intent of the post the same.

Thanks J, appreciate the response. That makes sense to me.

Nah.. They'll just stick to censorship that they feel necessary.. Deleting posts they don't agree with and letting others say the same thing.

Just burn all the books, you'll be more satisfied.
