Sort of. A lot of people believe that their opinion in its self is power. They can do nothing aside from entertain their own personal interests as they stumble through life and yet still feel as if they they can change the course of the world by thinking and saying things from time to time.

Unfortunately, we currently have (and have had for a long while) a political climate that enables such a belief.

We won't for much longer.

To put it bluntly they are idiots! The enlightened people we have around here identify with the plight of the worker, IE communists. But only see in the Confederate flag slavery, not states rights or any thing else. The people I have talked to and read the editorials in the local paper really have no clue about history or human events. They see China, Russia and other places like that as workers and peoples paradise where everyone has a job, house, car etc.

Many of the enlightened also believe the US as a whole is evil for trying to keep the peace in the world. Now granted much of our peace keeping is to ensure a supply of oil and other commodities flowing. A lot of it is also in our view to help keep people free. But as we have seen in the middle east the people have no idea what to do with freedom and in the long run probably better off under a dictator. Many on the left would seem to be happy themselves living under a dictator until of course it actually happened. In their view a dictator would provide all to them while at the same time ban things they did not like IE Fox news, the 2nd amendment and so on.

Why is it that a SCOTUS ruling saying that states must allow gays to get marriage licenses makes it ok for a shit ton of people to start publicly bashing Christians? The amount of anti Christian memes and hate I've seen in the last few days is mind boggling.

Why is it a Walmart in LA denied a man's request to have a custom cake baked with the battle flag and the words "Heritage not Hate" but then they gladly baked him a cake with the black ISIS flag on it?

Why is it the there have been at least a half dozen articles in the last few weeks in major national papers declaring right wing extremism as a bigger terrorist threat to America than Islamic extremists?

Why is it that the IRS spends years harassing perfectly legal conservative groups but the clearly fraudulent Clinton Foundation doesn't even get a 2nd look by the IRS?

We can go on and on with the insane list. We have entered the twilight zone...or 1984...or some other fucked up reality.
