While sitting in the woods elk hunting last year, I noticed that BOTH the front and rear sights on my muzzle loader (CVA Optima V2) were freely moving around, as well as the fiber optic tube being loose and broken on the front sight. Good thing I never had a chance to shoot anything. Anyway, I find the factory sights to be...lacking. Can I get some recommendations on some great aftermarket sights for a muzzle loader? I have open iron sights with fiber optic inserts now, and I like them enough, but don't really have experience with anything else. I'm considering a ghost ring as well, but just don't have enough rifle/muzzle loader experience to know if that is a good option or not. Please help me out with some suggestions.

That's the exact article I read that put the idea of ghost ring sights on my head!

I imagine ghost rings would be good enough on a muzzle loader. I assume you probably wouldn't take a shot past 150 yards or so anyways?

Yeah that's about right. To be honest I'd be reluctant to take a shot at that distance. I'll have to get some more range time in with the gun before September.
