You have been a great group of guys to deal with and have helped me in some of my darker hours. I just wanted to thank you as my wife and I are moving to Florida at the end of August and I hope there is a similar group there. Peace to all of you. Stay strong and vigilant. - Dan King

Yeah Dan, we've got members all over the U.S. Just because you're moving out of state doesn't mean you can't be a part of this great site.

Enjoy your new adventures but don't make us hunt you down for updates.[emoji33]

Doing a FTF deal might be a little difficult. Safe Journeys.

You can take the Co-AR member out of Colorado but you can't take Co-Ar out of the member.

Well meeting halfway would def require a longer drive anyway.

Good of luck in your move.

In this day and age, there's no reason NOT to keep up with your geographically-separated friends! [Beer]

Good luck with your move. It's not always easy, but it can certainly be an adventure!

Good luck, Dan! I know you've been working on moving somewhere more tropical for a couple years now, glad to see you're finally on your way!

Stay safe.

Safe Journey.

From what I hear, the boys in FL are into some of your favorite hobbies just as much as we are, so hopefully you'll find another good crew there too.

Well, made the trek and have "most" of the boxes unloaded. Uhaul was STELLAR and did not charge me for the extra days I incurred for my move. Props to them on both ends. FL has been hot and humid (Duh) but it has rained...and rained...and frickin' rained, until today. So we took a ride to Pine Island in the morning and I lounged in the pool until 2PM...and then I got to work. I love working at home and living in the tropics. Can't wait to see those "first snowfall" pics!

We have family that moved to Florida this month. I guess humidity and heat are coming back in style. [Sweat]

Enjoy yourself and you'll think of us when you're missing out on shoveling the driveway. [Plow]

Please post some pics! I'd move to Florida in a heartbeat if I could convince the wife. Unfortunately she requires "perfect" weather, and Colorado is it right now. I'll get out of here sooner or later.

What part of Florida did you move to?
Before I moved to Colorado, I lived in North Florida for ten years.
There is a great group of guys in both Northern and Central Florida who truly enjoy shooting, and do a lot of it every month.
Not as much internet presence like here, but good guys nonetheless. If you are living somewhere between Jacksonville and Daytona, I can give you some introductions.

If you are visiting Pine Island, it sounds like you are in the Fort Myers area - Cape Coral, Sanibel, Matlacha - Great fishing just off the coast!
Sold a house we built for retirement in Cape Coral in 2004 - Two weeks later Hurricane Charlie took the roof and really tore up Punta Gorda.
Let's hope that was the once in 100 year storm and you have clear weather.
Good Luck and make those great memories!

Batten down the hatches brother as it looks like Joaquin is headed your way.

I'm working a satellite launch tonight/tomorrow morning which is departing out of Cape Canaveral. If it doesn't go on time they may have to roll that thing back into a hanger as Joaquin is looking very nasty.

Probably wouldn't hurt to go grab some water & supplies before the run on the stores.

Good luck brother.

ETA: just saw a map of the expected path for Joaquin. Looks like it'll bypass FL completely. Still, never hurts to be prepared.

Glad to hear your move went well and that Uhaul treated you kindly. Although I found Florida to be too hot for my tastes, there is no denying its appeal. :)
