My son ("Sharpienads" on the forum) has been in the USAF as a JTAC/TACP for 12 years today. I got an email from him earlier today. He had just been informed he'd made Master Sgt (E7).
He's done 3 tours each in Iraq and Afghanistan and he's on his 7th deployment to Kuwait right now. He was awarded a Bronze Star w/V for action in Fallujah. He's married to a wonderful girl who just graduated from nursing school.
It almost brings tears to my eyes to think of how proud I am of him. He's also an American Patriot of the highest order.
Thanks...I'm done.
Outstanding and congrats!!! He must've gotten it all from his mother huh?... lol

You know Carl he could not have grown up to be a good man without a good example to follow.
Congrats to both of you.
You're a rockstar Sharpienads, and you're a very blessed man, BG. Thank you both for being great men.
I hope to be as proud a father as you are, someday.
Congratulations!
You have excellent reason to be proud. You are not bragging when it is the truth.
Great to hear it. Take all the time feeling proud that you can.

I DID know he was your son, and I still like him.
Only way to raise a good man is be one yourself!

You should both be proud - of yourselves, and each other. I spend so much of my time being disgusted with so many of the occupants of our nation. This post gave me a boost, and it makes me proud that you two are my countrymen.

Jeez Jethro, I know you were a little irritated about the way I abused Leon[flamingo] but disgusted?
Really?
Pretty harsh bro.....
Congratulations to both of you.

Awesome! Congrats to you both.
"You didn't build that"...Oh, wait, YES YOU DID! Congratulations to his parents! And "patriot of the highest order" is about as good as it gets. Very little else matters...especially these days.

Sewed it on yesterday. Wish I coulda been there.
Nice update! Life is good.
I always had a lot of respect for the JTAC's attached to us. Very professional, excellent at their jobs, and they're usually pretty cool dudes.
