View Full Version : Now I've read everything...
From a story in the Colorado Springs Gazette:
"Quantities of materials such as lead, brass, gun powder and liquid primer, a shell fluid used in making bullets, also have been limited,"
I gotta get me some of that shell fluid. Silly me, I've been using primer in little cups! Oh, and at the end of the story, our intrepid reporter also tells us that .22lr bullets are hard to come by, also. Sucks to be reloading .22lr these days!
She, (the reporter) quoted a gun store owner, you just know he's reading the story and screaming "I didn't say that!!!!"

I wouldn't be so sure.
ETA: I believe there is a method of manufacturing some primers that suspends the primer material in liquid which is then removed once the primer cup is filled.
So if the press reports this way about things you know well, then what does that say about the way they report anything else?
The Press - telling people what the editors want people to believe, as long as someone pays them.
I wish they would interview me. I'd make up all kinds of stuff just to see if they even bother checking facts.
Might go a little some thing like this...
"A local firearms enthusiast even expressed concern over the prevalence of banana clips on the streets of Colorado. But what's worse, he says he is starting to see an even greater number of mango clips as well. Spent mango clips have been known to leave trace amounts of radiation which have been proven to mutate the genitals of local wildlife. The only relief from these mutations is the consumption of large quantities of potatoes. A growing number of squirrels and rabbits have been ravaging the potato fields of Colorado trying to alleviate their symptoms. This potato shortage will probably lead to food shortages in the homeless shelters. The hungry homeless will resort to criminal activity leaving even more of the evil mango clips on the ground. Where does this cycle end? I say it's time to put an end to the availability of mango clips in Colorado. Write your senators and tell them we need to stop the madness."

Mango bullets and manstopper bullets....I prefer antiaircraft shotgun bullets.
