**UTAH CONCEALED HANDGUN PERMIT CLASS**

The State of Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification issues non-resident concealed handgun permits to all qualifying US citizens, regardless of their state of residence. Obtaining a Utah non-resident permit will allow you to legally carry a concealed handgun in up to 34 states (assuming you also have a Colorado permit). Obtaining a Utah permit is easy and, aside from the class, can be done by mail. You MUST attend a class taught by a Utah Certified Instructor. Our class is approximately 4 hours in length, strictly follows the Utah Minimum Training Guidelines (each student will receive a copy) and consists of:
* Basic Handgun Safety Training - lecture and demonstration
* Handgun Operation - lecture and demonstration
* Ammunition - lecture
* Safe Handling and Required Equipment - lecture and demonstration
* Utah Firearms Laws (with discussion of applicable Federal law) - lecture
* Utah Use of Force Laws - lecture
Upon completion each student will be given an application that has been stamped and signed by the instructor. We will have fingerprinting available for a small fee of $10 (most law enforcement agencies charge $13 - $20). The only other item the student needs is a PASSPORT QUALITY photo (available from many outlets for $5 - $15). Upon completing the class the student will send his/her signed and notarized application, photo and fingerprint cards, along with a fee of $65.25 (payable by check, money order or credit card) to the Utah BCI.
