View Full Version : all you holsters guys/gals
Dont forget to tighten up your screws and do some general maintenance on your holsters. Found a couple screws coming loose on mine today, I tighten then down to keep the retention nice and tight.
I have to tighten mine all the time on the screws that hold the clips.
Good reminder thread, I know I don't take nearly as good of care with my rigs as I should.

Remember to treat your leather for longer life.
Take a hot hair dryer or heat gun to your Kydex with your gun in (unloaded) and give it some pressure with your fingers around the slide and trigger gaurd. Keeps everything nice and tight.
I got nothing else.
The one I seem to wear the most doesn't have anything to come lose.
Use clear nail polish on your screw threads if you don't want a permanent installation. It'll still hold the screw from loosening.
^^^^ where did you learn that one never herd of that?

DO NOT USE ON KYDEX HOLSTERS. Unless you want the material to start breaking down. If you want to see what LT does to plastic (in speeded up time) put some elmers glue on styrofoam. Unless the formula for either has changed, many a year ago (many, as in cub scouts) we were making some decorations. The glue hit the styrofoam and started eating it away. Like the wicked witch hit by water.
