Well I got it all together, sorta. The rail kit from Aero I bought isn't compatible with my upper. I really like the side charging handle so I'll likely need to shop around for a rail that fits. Mounted the barrel nut and attached the supressor and it functions like a champ.
Who has the best supply of rails around? I need to test fit to find one that will work.

Damage factory had a wall display of them, last time down there. What seems to be the issue with fitment? I have a take off from my JRC carbine, think it will bolt up w/out issue.

Because of the shape of the uppers side charging handle it doesn't allow the rail to come forward enough to sit flush and then attach to the barrel nut. If I took a dremel to the upper I could make it fit, but I don't think I want to grind on $200 rail.
I really like both pieces but if I had to choose I like the side charger better.

I say find the rail you know you like and modify it and enjoy.
But that's just me.

Went another direction with the rail. Turned out ok.

Is that a hello kitty selector?
I been wanting to do a QC10.. how much did you end up spending minus that thing on the end?

Seekins precision switch.
More than planned.
250 on the lower.
250 for the upper
230 for the BGC
190 for the barrel
I spurged on the rail, 230.
Then add misc for LPK and furniture and less we not forget $200 to Uncle Sam for the privilege of the 5.5" barrel.
After all that I'm still tempted to build a 45 version. Would come out about the same a Kriss and don't have to worry about proprietary design.
Why oh why did you show me these? One of these in .45 is something I'm going to have to spend money on! Do they deliver quickly? From what I hear I only have so long to SBR on my trust. I've never built and AR before would you say this is a bad idea for a first timer?

45 lowers are in stock right now. I had mine and few days and filed the paperwork the next.
Figured I had at least 90 days to gather the parts. (Was a little over 100).
Its as easy as putting together an AR lower and that was pretty smooth sailing after watching a
few you tube videos. The upper is cake. It's blowback operation so no gas block or tube to mess with, just insert barrel and screw it down.
Rooski, thank you for introducing me to these. I've been thinking about an SBR AR pattern in .45 for quite a while. I can't wait to get started.

You should do a search for Mad Machinist. he's doing s a nice DI 45. Supposedly deals with a lot of th eissues regarding buffer weight & spring OAL. The reviews are favorable too.
I have a DDLES 9mm set up and a JRC carbine caliber change. From 9 - 45.
