For making my allergies act up!
I would like To Publicly thank all the members here for all the help that has been offered, it's truly overwhelming to me. When I posted about needing a place I was hoping to find a lead on a place and that was all, well we have gotten offered so much more that words cannot express the gratitude I have for all of you and this community.
A good majority here know me personally here and know what my family has been going through for awhile (about 2 years now) but since January it's been even worse. My mother who lives with me and worked as a CNA full time had a spinal infarction with multiple spotting on her brain which indicated a series of "mini strokes" that left her without use of her legs. About 3 weeks ago we learned that my FIL has stage 4 throat cancer and has a very limited time left. I have even had to put down one of my pups 3 days before we found out about that, there's more but I can't make it sound even more like a bad country song than it already does.
Why I bring this up is because during that whole time I have not received one call, text or email from anyone in my family or long time friends to even see how things were going. But my friends and family here has been checking in with me constantly and that just is simply amazing to me.
My friends here have all always offered help and I have never taken it because simply my pride wouldn't let me. Well with this last issue I haven't had a choice it's no longer about me having to sell something to take care latest little thing that come up, this was about my family's well being. I have been disappointed with family and long time "friends" more times than I can count, but with all the support I have been offered here it just reminds me that family is not blood but the people you choose to have around you. I'am truly blessed to know all of you and to be a member here.
I'm truly honored to be amongst all of you and from the bottom of my heart I thank you all.

For whatever reason I can't post in your thread in the Wanted section. Let me know what date/time you need help moving and I will be there if I can bail on work. Do you need boxes? Also if you haven't found a place I know a guy and a gal that has some rentals.

Not sure why the other thread was closed... but anyways, let us know the date/time/location of your move and I'll also try to get off some work and come help. I don't have a truck and even though my body is broke, I can still lift, etc.

For some folks, you can give and give and give and it's never enough. It's so rare to find someone who, despite their own needs, resists accepting from others yet will continue to give. You are one of those very rare folks. I don't think I've ever met someone who gives so freely to others.
We're happy that you've finally relented and will allow us to assist you. It is our honor.
I'm sorry to hear about the struggles your family is going through. I will be keeping you and yours in my prayers. If you still want help with moving and i can get out of work i'd be happy to lend a hand!

I hate moving and doubt I could move my own household. I wish my body wasn't so broken down that I could help with the move, because it seems like it would be kinda' fun with this crowd of volunteers.

This little online community is probably the best bunch of friends and family I have ever found. It's kinda funny how those people behind the screens care more than your actual family.
I'm so glad to heave met a lot of this community and I always look forward to meeting more of them.
Whenever you post the date your gearing up for the move and I'm available I'll be more than willing to help.

I am glad to hear you found a place.

I have a bad back but can make up for it with a Tacoma pick-up truck if you need help.

I got rid of all my excess garage junk and furniture. I donated probably two cars loads full of stuff to the ARC, besides the stuff I sold.
Only way to move it fast, besides the ARC stuff helps the people I work with.

Got a goodwill pile as well as two of the waste management "bagsters" so I'm good so far. Got most of my bedroom furniture loaded and it looks like the day will be the 22nd (tentative, might have a delay due to FIL) to unload / reload a truck / unload at a storage unit (long story). I should have 2/3 of the house packed and loaded by Tuesday / Wednesday so then I get the fun job of tackling the basement.
Again and Iknow I sound like a broken record but I just want to say thank you for all of your help, it truly means a lot to me and my family to be a part of a truly wonderful community like COAR15.
If my schedule allows, the weather is decent, the stars are aligned just right, and there is free beer involved I can lend a hand.
If all of that stuff doesn't happen..... I'm out.

Anyone who might be interested in watching ray eat some Cheetos and help unload / reload a truck just shoot me a pm or a text. My FIL has taken a dramatic decline and the 22nd might be delayed in case the worst happens. I'm going to try to keep everything a s status quo as much as possible but only time will tell.
Seriously, just let me know when the big day is and I'll try to make it to lend a hand. I figure if thirty of us show up we should have you moved in about sixteen minutes.

Ok guys next Saturday is still in the air. I'm expecting my FIL to pass today or tomorrow. He has become unresponsive, color is modeling and they told us the only thing keeping him here is the O2 which has been lowered from 8 ltr to 4. My wife is devistated because he was her best friend and he was my escape from the rest of the in laws. Truly a great under appreciated guy with a heart of gold.
You will be missed SP4 Danny J Depue.

Dave asked me to post up to let everyone know, his Father In Law Cpl Danny J Depue just past away .He is on his way to be with his wife and family!
Dave also advised for everyone concerned/helping with the move this Saturday is postponed till further notice.

Dave, brother, I'm very saddened for your loss. There will be many tears and many sleepless nights in the days to come, You know that your family here will do anything to help ease your & Emily's pain if we can. We're here to support you so lean on us when you need to - it's our honor to help you.
When you have time, take a minute here & there and write down all of the memories and stories he shared with you. Time has a way of blurring the details.
My prayers and thoughts are with you and Emily.

Thanks guys, been a very long night. I went and saw him when I got off of work 12am Monday and spent a few hours with him letting him know that he was not only Emilee's Dad but mine as well, I was the last person to see him before he passed so that's a great honor for me. This one hurts for sure.
I went ahead and kept loading last night because I had a shit load of energy and the new date will be Saturday the 29th. The plan is to have the trailer moved and offload wha we need at the house and I will rent the storage units 26' truck because the trailer we have won't fit in the storage units compound. So basically it will be a unloading the trailer and making runs down the st (not even a mile) to the storage unit. Anyone who would like to help hit me up via text or pm and I will send the address and time. I will also post up a few days before hand as a reminder.
This community is awesome and both my wife and I greatly appreciate everyone here.

It was nice to meet some of the guys from the forum. There were some real workhorses in that group. I still miss the social interaction we had with the monthly club shoots back in the day.

Dave, I have been bearing my own cross. I lost my father on Aug 6, that was my last surviving family member. It is what it is. I'm sorry to hear or the extreme difficulty you have been in. I would be happy to buy a gun from you and never take delivery.
