It's about time for paint! The car has been over at AMD Installation's shop in Georgia having evvvvvery body panel replaced....inside, outside, roof, floor, trunk... all of it! It'll be done and on the way back soon. Does anyone on here do paint for high-end pro-touring restorations like I have going? ...or do you have any great referrals? (Feel free to attach pictures to this thread of work you've had done if you have referrals)

Any help, recommendations, and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I see you went the discount route... [Eek2]

What are the plans for it?

I'm hoping Obamacare has some sort of government assisted classic car restoration reimbursement at the end of the year. No? Shit!

I have an LS3 out of a new Camaro SS with a 6-speed manual bolted to it.... and if I quit being scared, an intercooled ProCharger blower to go on it. Heidt's PRO-G front subframe assembly, Heidt's 4-link for the Ford 9" rear diff (also mini-tubbed), 2006 Pontiac GTO front and rear seats, new Camaro console, and all the miscellaneous crap that goes with trying to make an old car a new car. It's never ending!

The plan is to pretty much have a sweet ass sweet pro-touring street car like this in the end. If there is an "end"! ...oh, and I don't know if I have quite the cojones it'll take to have it in black so I'm thinking a dark metallic titanium silver will be the color. My OCD probably wouldn't like it to be black colored either.

Was it a special car? If all of that needed to be replaced it really should not have been fixed. Most groups and clubs would not consider that an original car any more. Why not just find a better body.

Replied with a couple options. Remember you get what you pay for. Or as this group frequently says.... "Buy once cry once"

That's just about the exact color combo it was. lol

I think the color/scheme he's going with is going to be super bad ass.

I was wondering the same thing. Would it have been cheaper to buy a Year One body/frame? Last I checked, they were around $10k for a brand new one, with doors, and all in spec. With what your doing (which is awesome by the way) I probably wouldn't have messed with an original.

I dream to one day do a pro touring 67 Mustang fastback.

Absolutely gorgeous car. I've always been a fan of the '68 - '69 Camaro. Such a mean street machine.
