View Full Version : Vortex Reticle Problem
I bought a Vortex Viper PST 1-4 last June and finally got around to shooting it today. After exactly 30rds through a 5.56 AR, the reticle has rotated about 15deg counter clockwise. It's mounted in a Bobro 201 and was bubble leveled, properly torqued and loctited. It's still mounted solid and the turrets are still level.
Anyone have any experience with this? I guess I'm about to test out the famous Vortex customer service and warranty.

Never had an issue with any of mine but I am sure they will take care of you.
I've got the same scope, only sighted it in so far. This is when you are glad about their CS reputation.
I wouldn't think you'll have any problems getting it replaced
You can always:
1) Hold the rifle sideways OR:
2) Loosen the rings and turn the scope 20 degrees or so....
My gunsmith Bubba can help you out if you'd like. But Hey, if you ever owned a Tasco you'd have the answers already.
Seriously the guys at Vortex are good to deal with. I've dealt with them and you are good to go. It's a hassle of course to ship it back, but at least it will be fixed and usually done right.

Give vortex a call they set up an exchange for me in store from a local dealer I sent photos and described issue over the phone they sent me to cabelas to swap it out
Wow I didn't know that was an option. Vortex CS is awesome, I'm glad I have them standing behind their work. Hopefully they don't get bought out from another company that doesn't care about customer service
Well I have to say the Vortex that I bought from Kwando has been exceptional.
You ready to sell me that Mildot one yet?

Nice I'm glad you're enjoying it. I actually picked up a 2.5-10 FFP to use on the SCAR 17 now. But the 1-4 is on another rifle. Never can have too many optics. :)
