Thanks guys. Surgery went well, I just ate some soup & haven't been feeling nauseous from the anesthesia, so I might get to go home tonight. Ray, one of my first thoughts was, "well, better find a different way to carry for a while."

Just had mine out about a year ago... was only feeling minor gas type pain, but it didn't go away for a few days, then started getting worse, and was on the right side. Doc sent me for an MRI and they sent me right over to the hospital as soon as they saw the scans. Entire procedure was done with just 3 tiny incisions. One on the belly button for the camera, one on the left side to pump me full of air, and one on the right side for the actual appendix removal. Can't even see the scars anymore. The did make me stay overnight

My insurance is pretty good, and I think it ended up costing me about $1200 out of pocket total. Could have been worse. Hope your insurance covers a bunch of it.

Knew a guy in college whose appendix ruptured. Almost killed him. Good to hear they caught it early enough and were able to get you fixed up so you can have many more birthdays!
