Anyone been reading about this new rifle yet to come ? Looks like a decent deal for a dedicated .22 with an AR type platform. Found one place that said SW has a 50,000 preorder BO already ! Looks like $500 MSRP. What say you COAR herd ? [Beer]

I like it and for $500 it'll blow away the GSG platform, which is a pain in the (_)_) [Tooth]

looking at pics of one now here : http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=34384 , i wonder if they will come out /w a dedicated .22 upper too. curious how much( or little) that will end up going for! if so, they may just blow the ceiner kits and such out of the water!

From what I've read so far Umarex is actually making the Colt rifle with Colt letting them use the name. It sounds like the rifle is not living up to expectations.

I have heard similar reports, which is disappointing for Colt. If they were the original manufacturers I'm sure the quality and functionality would be much better. Guess that means S&W has found a great market corner, and I've no problem supporting them so long as their new product is good-which I have no doubt it will be!
