You really want this man to represent America on the international stage? You really trust him? You really think he has a genuine bone in his body?

Meh... Ronald Reagan was in Bedtime for Bonzo...

Didn't seem to hurt him as President...
I actually like the Donald a tiny bit more after watching that.
Here's how this is going to play out.
Trump (obviously) doesn't get the republican nomination.
Pissed off about it, he runs as an independent.
Trump draws votes away from a legitimate republican candidate and Hillary wins by a landslide.
Game over.

American politics is looking more and more like a reality TV show every day... May as well write in "President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho" on your ballot.

If anyone thinks Trump is doing this as a R you're smoking crack. He's a trojan horse, in it for HRC if not someone else. The only thing Trump cares about is...................TRUMP.

Well it wasn't doing blow, smoking weed and growing up hating America.
You don't like Trump got it, I don't like Rocky Road Ice Cream. Not gonna bash it for everyone else.
Tell us who YOU want and what is YOUR solution.
It is too early and you are just doing the Dems work to stir the in fighting.
Will he last? Who knows. He has as good a shot as anyone right now 15 MONTHS OUT.

With 15-16 candidates on the R side. They're doing a good job them self . My solution is to remove EVERYONE from office and start over. There's not 1 person in the running i like or at this point willing to vote for.
I would like to see Sanders get the D nod. Then Hopefully this country would wake up and realize just how far down the shitter we've gone.
What's that saying ? We Get the Government We DESERVE.

Thank you. He is saying things we like to hear but in the end it is just lip service, he doesn't mean a word of it.
Now Ted Cruz, that is a candidate.
Trump is a puppet of the leftist media moguls who run the political reality show. Trump is playing the part of spoiler and just as Ross Perot brought us Bill Clinton, Trump will bring us Bernie Sanders. Hillary is dead in the water and will go nowhere.
Hillary is dead in the water and will go nowhere.
I'd so like to believe but I fear the fix is in.

I agree except it won't be Sanders, my bet is it will be Biden.

I don't trust him.
He's fun to watch right now and I'm glad he's saying what he's saying but I still don't trust him.
Now I know that most of us here roll our eyes at InfoWars (I'll be one of the first to pounce with criticism when links to their work are posted here), but Paul Joseph Watson seems to be the one sane guy over there ... anyway his take on Trump is interesting.

I still contend that everyone that is all excited about Trump (for and against) need to be reminded that it's way too early.
Here's where the polls stood this time last election

That's a joke, right?
I think you're giving him too much credit. He's just an guy with a huge ego waving his arms around for attention. He usually runs to promote a new season of his reality show. Now that it's cancelled he has to go into overdrive to make himself feel important.
My message to Trump supporters is simple. Take your right to vote seriously.

My intention is not to stir "infighting". My intention is to stir people into using their brains. If you really did your homework, and you still want President Camacho Trump, then you are beyond reason. If that makes you raise your hackles, GOOD. you can do better than that.
I'm not perfect and I don't have all the answers, (and you're probably not going to like my solutions) but we need to do something to fix the corporatist/statist government. Separation of Church and State? Great. We need Separation of Corporation and State. Every time a politician is on TV, list their top 10 sponsors donors. End corporate welfare. End "too big to fail".
While we're at it, we should also end individual welfare as it stands today. Bad luck? Need help getting back on your feet? That's fine. I have compassion and I can understand hardship. Welfare and food stamps should not be a career option. While accepting any sort of subsidy from the government, beneficiaries should be subject to certain intentionally uncomfortable living standards: No cable TV, no smartphone, EBT (or equivalent) can only be used to purchase legitimate food to keep you healthy and fed (no energy drinks, cigarettes, no garbage... maybe even just fresh produce, idk.). Welfare should be a re-launching point, not a lifestyle.
Tax code needs to be simplified. IRS needs to be eliminated NOW. Flat tax, with the first $50k (adjusted annually for inflation) is tax-free. No more exemptions. No more special status or favoritism.
Want people to care about elections? Want people to care about legal (and illegal) immigration? Make citizenship something that is prized and treasured again. Deport all non-citizens without a legal justification for being here (green card, visa, etc).
Get the government out of marriage. What is a license? It's when the government takes away your right to do something and then forces you to buy it back. Get rid of that crap and let people freely associate. The more power the government has in this area, the more the government facilitates discrimination. (Same can be said for the IRS, EPA, Dept. of Education, etc)
Your ice cream analogy is woefully inadequate. "Bashing" an ice cream flavor you don't like doesn't impact every future generation of Americans. You have a moral DUTY to try to prevent a politician from fucking everyone in the ass.

We have seen this show before except that Ross Perot was genuine and laid out specific details. Ross's run gave us President Bill Clinton and all that entailed -- including Supreme Court Justices who feel perfectly justified in referencing foreign laws and legal constructs when trying to lay out an "interpretation" of the Constitution that goes 180 degrees from the intent of the Constitution, AG Janet Reno and Deputy AG Eric Holder, ignoring the growth of Al Qaeda for the sake of political convenience, decimation of the military to feed a domestic spending agenda, etc.
Clinton knew he needed Perot to suck away non-Democratic votes which was why his campaign bamboozled Perot into thinking Bush was tapping his communications. Clinton supposedly talked to Trump just before Trump announced. Coincidence? or established modus operandi?
Wonder why the GOP has so many candidates this time around?
The ConservativeTreehouse has been running with a Jeb Bush theory for a while now.
The math appears to work - interesting stuff:
http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2015/08/09/gope-2016-road-map-to-victory-tree-house-challenge/
In a very general sense the broad construct begins around a very specific premise: The GOPe knew they would need to devise a strategy to elect Jeb Bush with around 15 – 25% of the primary vote, depending on the state – through the first nine calendar primary races. [Dixie states at the low end, and New England states at higher thresholds.]
If we were accurate in our hypothesis, which was actually based on their previous 2012 strategy to elect Mitt Romney, the 2014 mid-term visible GOP primary spending on incumbents, and alignments within the hierarchy of the Republican establishment – then we assume there would be two essential candidates:
Jeb Bush being candidate one, and Not-Jeb-Bush being the other.
This approach makes winning a matter of math, not ideology. The Sum of the Jeb Bush vote must be greater than any individual part within the Not-Jeb vote. That approach guarantee’s Jeb victory with far less than majority voter support.
The whole election system has been rigged in many differing ways for some time, and each cycle gets worse.
I don't believe my vote counts for anything beyond perhaps a City Counsel election anymore.
As far as Trump, I believe it is only a matter of time before his mouth does him in.
Too bad; he amuses me.
I rate that a 10.
Damn straight. :)

My thoughts on welfare are that the Federal government shouldn't have ANYTHING to do with it. At the state level, I wouldn't mind seeing EBT/Foodstamps replaced with government operated commissaries where the poor can get their staples so they don't starve to death (of course if you want that food you're peeing in a cup ... no drugs, liquor or tobacco use ... if you can afford those you can feed yourself).
I'd rather see the government out of the welfare/charity business all together. That's what churches and private charities are for. Before the 1930s that's how it worked and it worked quite well, there has only been 1 famine anywhere in the US and that was on a remote Alaskan island in the late 1870s.
Americans have proven themselves to be the most generous and charitable people in human history ... get government off our backs and that will only increase.

It's done on the rez. They get bi-weekly delivery's to the rez commissary's. Most of the stuff (in the past) looks like the soon to be, or already expired produce from large grocery chains. I'm sure it would be different in urban areas as they have a larger voting / vocal bloc.
