44-37, quite a significant lead...

So if this trend continues, then will low-information voters vote for him because they think he's related to Col. Sanders?
(not intended as a racist joke, but I can see how it looks that way)

He's not taking "big money" He's also not sending out press and supporter letters saying DON'T WORRY What we did was legal and we have nothing to hide.
The guys not someone i'd want or vote for. However he does have a valid platform. Just not the one i support.
He's a white male: he doesn't stand a chance.

Most of the democrats that I know love this guy. The only reason I've heard about why though is that he doesn't take corporate money. While I can say that not taking money is noble I have no idea what beyond that this guy supports.

It's camouflage so that the eventual Democrat nominee actually appears moderate by comparison.

It's camouflage so that the REAL Democrat nominee actually appears at the last minute, with ZERO track record to check. They may even be foreign born! (But there won't be a way to prove it, of course).

This. My gut is saying something isn't right here.
This is a huge election by all accounts, but the Dems only have 2 candidates? And one of them is under a full blown criminal investigation, her campaign is imploding and she doesn't seem to be worried? (There are actually 5 but the media is 100% ignoring 3 of them. Be honest, how many knew there were 5?)...
By this point in 2008, there had been 8 legitimate, and official Dem candidates for 6 months. But this time, when the Dems are at risk of losing the WH, they only field a single semi mainstream candidate... two if you count the criminal Hillary? WTF? That doesn't worry the Dem establishment at all? They're not exactly circling the wagons on damage control, they are literally acting like this isn't an election at all. They only scheduled barely enough debates to pass as legitimate.
Sanders is an admitted socialist and is an old bastard...is that really the guy they want? He's an old white man, not a minority or a woman. He doesn't fit the Dem agenda and as a socialist I can't believe he fits the Independent voter ideal.
Something stinks. I just don't know what. But deep in my gut, I feel this is all wrong. I'd bet good money that the election next year doesn't remotely resemble the field as we know it now. But, based on past elections, it's way too late for someone to jump in. So something big is going to happen to shake the boat enough that a new candidate becomes a fresh new face and "just what the doctor ordered."
Still seems a bit early to be very worried. Also, the Dems have been in the house for two terms, and more than likely the house switches. Why put resources into a potentially loosing battle?

Can you say BIDEN/GORE . It's coming, the train's just starting to build up zero carbon footprint steam.
The bumper stickers at the printers as i type.
IT'S ALMOST SUMMER
I'M VOTING DUMB & DUMBER
BIDEN/GORE 16
UNLESS the Vagina Monologues manages to squeak past the VAST RIGHT WING E-Mail brouhaha conspiracy .
Then it would get interesting. Would HRC play the gender card, or will she be asked to do what's right . Like Tom Hagen asked of Frankie Pentangeli

Yeah...14+ months is an eternity.
For poll results it probably is, which is what started this thread.

The Democrats have been shown to engineer their elections for the past 20+ years. Their problem is that they have at least 2 different camps attempting to do the engineering: the Clinton team and the non-Clinton team. The Clinton team is in it for the self-aggrandizement and to further push off the criminal investigations and prosecutions that should have been taking place since at least 1995. The non-Clinton team doesn't trust the Clintons and desperately wants to keep pushing politics further left (and know they can't trust the Clintons to do so).
I firmly believe the Dems are pushing Sanders to ensure the center point of conversations and debates still remains firmly left of (true) center. They will spring a new candidate next year that seems far more moderate by comparison and settle with the Clinton camp by promising to NOT perform the investigations and prosecutions that Billary so richly deserve.

Sounds about right, Aloha.
What scares me is the support Sanders is getting... I have a few friends who are more left of center (yet claim to be independent), and they are all on board the Bernie train. I fear so many these days don't know what socialism really is and will jump all in behind Sanders because they like a few things he said. Remember, 2012 went to Obama, seemingly, because of little things like "war on women," "47%," "Binders full of women," etc. If this is what the left is going to field, which I seriously doubt, then it's 100% the GOP's race to lose.

It kind of feels like people are sooo sick of the two parties that anything new feels like worth a shot. The Republicans have the Tea Party and the Democrats have Bernie Sanders.

After Obamalamadingdong(closest reference I have is Pennywise the clown) primed them and if played properly, Hillary could be torpedoed if not indicted, FSA and enough of the lefty(very wide brush) crowd to be dangerous are ripe for true socialism.
Get passed the holidays and a couple months in the lead up to early primaries without any major faux pas or scandalous revelations and the two extremists of the two wings of the same party, suddenly, become dangerous.

Ronin, glad to see you didn't get eaten by large obese chick. Been a while since you posted. What up @ ACSD?
Bernie seems to be getting some steam behind him. I have seen a few of his stickers on cars now, seeing more and more support on FB for him. He's the "people's guy" by all accounts according to social media. The seemingly next trendy guy.

I have noticed this as well.
Did you know that money comes from the government and there is an inexhaustible supply of money.
