I've got a barn that needs cameras on both end. Hardwired. the diy style cameras at Sam's aren't going to work for me. I want the picture clear enough at 100 feet to be able to recognize faces. what do I want? I have a budget of about 2500. can spend more if needed. 2 cameras and a dvr. any suggestions?

I put a foscam wireless cam with a hogh gain antenna in the barn. It isnt hardwired but You can discern faces clearly and we can tell one goat from another. Ive thought about getting 8 camera dvr system to put in the barn and connecting it to the house via wifi and use blueirus for remote viewing. Anyway, You can try barncams.com and ranchcams.net.

can you get Ethernet run to the garage? PC available?

There are some great Power over ethernet cameras out there. Look at HKVision brand.

its a poultry barn. I have internet and the barn controller is wired into the computer. I use teamviewer to check on the barn

yep. Probably pretty decent. I only have experience with this one on the bottom link, but it works great. especially for the $.
