When to fertilize new sod

New sod was laid at my house 5 weeks ago. It is doing well and I was wondering when and what type of fertilizer should I use this late in the summer. I typically use O'tools brand fertilizer but that's in the spring/early summer.

I would recommend about a half rate of an organic. Stay away from the weed and feed blends. Could damage the new sod.

do the half rate now and a full rate application in late october
