They cut to Jimmy Carter live news conference about his cancer. I'm probably just jaded and didn't have my morning coffee yet, but why do we need live press conference for this?

I have personal connection with this terrible disease, but I guess he is very important.

Sorry for the rant. Need to keep away from mass media. I get my news from this forum. :)

When someone famous has cancer, it's news. When normal people have cancer, it's a statistic.

If they talked about things that mattered, the revolution would start before lunch.

Who is going to travel the world making "friends" for us with the Arab nations and North Korea now?

Ok yah...we still have Kerry, Obama, both Clintons.... :(

The infotainment mass marketing machine is almost unwatchable. If I want to know whats going on in the world, I watch BBC. Its liberal, but at least it resembles "news" instead of a panel discussion about the fly that landed on Niki Minaj's ass three days ago.

Talking about Jimmy Carter and his cancer means they aren't talking about Hillary and her emails or Obama's IRS and their political bias and misuse of official powers. News "coverage" is as carefully designed for what it DOESN'T cover as what it does.

I have absolutely no interest in anything Jimmy Carter has to say, cancer or not. I take no pleasure in the fact he has a terrible disease. Since a bunch of knuckleheads had the bad sense to elect him I'm just glad he only lasted one term.

Ad in local online news. Corpse flower and Denver broncos. And some bike race. The rest doesn't matter.
