Tack drivers

We all use the term to describe most of our range guns. But, had anyone actually tried to drive a tack/nail with one? Might be a fun or interesting thing to try

I did it years ago with one of my rim fire rifles. Just blew the nails clean through the plywood at fifty yards. I also stuck a row of thumb tacks in the top of the target backer and picked them off one by one.

It was thin plywood. And they had to be hit dead on or they would just bend over. Like a bad hammer swing.

Oh, and it might have been 25 yards. Been a lot of years. My memory isn't what it used to be.

Used to shoot blue skinny dragonflys with my bb gun in the old days.

I like shooting flys. I will put a good sized piece of paper on the backstop then put a can of pop near it. Shoot the can of pop with something fairly highpower so it blows the pop all over the target and then just sit and wait. Soon the flys will find the sugar on the target. No season as of yet for hunting flys over bait. Lots of fun shooting moving targets, every now and again get a good splatter shot.

What kind of magnification are you guys using to shoot groups like those that have been posted?

About 12x or so.
