Real or Photoshop Moose

I'm not a hunter or a computer design person, but I can't tell which this is. I know moose can get big, but this big?

Hard to say. If that's a regular road and big trees then I'd say some sort of photo shop. But, if that's just an ATV trail and the trees are small, it could be legit.

I'd say it's real. I've seen one from 30 feet that was at least as tall as I am, 6'3.

Take a drive to estes park , hang out close to the park and wait. It;s possibly a ps pic, however they ain't no chihuahua up close.

Unless you've seen a large bull up close it's hard to imagine how big they are. That one does look unusually large but it's hard to get any perspective of size from anything in that photo. He looks like a freakin' elephant.

Real. You need to use the pine sapling between its legs in the first shot to scale it. That sapling is 2' more or less in height.

I've seen moose that big, but not in Colorado... Not that they don't exist-I've just never seen one here.

Nah, photo was probably taken in a larger state. The trees in the photo are small and the road is just wide enough for a single vehicle...if you don't care much about the paint on the sides.

According to the wiki, depending on where they are they can get quite large. As tall as 6.9' at the shoulder.

Yea seems to be average at the shoulder. Which means the head and antlers are easily going over 10'.

There's nothing in the photo that can give you a real sense of scale. Who knows how tall those trees are or how wide that trail is.. could be a simple walking trail with a bunch of short new growth trees. I see no reason to say it's fake.

I've seen a fair number of moose in Alaska, Canada, and here in Colorado. If, that second shot is unretouched and the tracks on that road represent vehicle tire tracks, it has to qualify as a record of some type.

I tried to look up info on record moose but they base everything off the antlers so there wasn't any mention of size or weight. Seems the big ones have antlers over six feet wide. If the one in the picture has a six foot spread he looks to be pretty damn big

I kind of thought that at first. Especially the second picture. But the first picture looks pretty good to me so figured the second picture was just crappy because it was a cell phone or trail camera picture or something.

Sun is at about 10 o'clock. Lighting on the antlers is the same as the trees. I don't see shading issues at all.

it looks pretty good except where his foot is on the road in the second picture. looks like a really stark contrast in color and shape, which is possible but makes me a little suspect.

I don't see the problem with the foot on the road, but then I know jack sh-- about photography. Hell can't even take a good pic of my guns. But when I went back & looked, the beams of light on his front legs did seem to be consistent with location of the sun and was also consistent with the beams of light on the road. Does the position of the camera also play a role? Again, I can snap a pic, but ain't no telling what it will look like.

Several years ago I did a Yukon moose hunt and was lucky enough to get a big one. 65+" spread on the antlers. I ended up with 660# of BONELESS meat so figure the thing on the hoof weighed very near a ton.
