View Full Version : Need a Colorado Springs Divorce Attorney
I thought we could do this amicably, but she's done gone and lawyered up.
Please send me both good and bad leads.
Thanks
No help on the attorney part but I hope it all works out fairly for you.
Seeing this makes me feel awful. Divorce is probably top three on the list of worst things I've ever gone through.
I've done it twice (sucks all the way around) however it gets better. Pm sent

Not a springs guy but... I know him personally, been friends with my boss for years and he knows his stuff. We can talk more on his experience in private if you'd like

Put her picture on a carton of milk and leave it where she can see it.

I have no idea if they're actually any good but I always keep hearing radio ads for Cordell & Cordell claiming to be divorce attorneys focused on men's issues.

They are somewhat on the pricey side. Minimum $5K retainer. They basically told me that there was nothing I can do about my ex taking my kids out of the state permanently without my consent in my situation.
Wish you the best on this one! Colorado is a division of assets and debts state; shared custody of the kids assuming both parents are responsible. The only people who benefit from attorneys getting involved are the attorneys. When I got my divorce, we each filled out the worksheets and and looked at the numbers. We could have liquidated and she walked away with nothing and about 5-8k in debt, or she did it my way and walked away debt free. Fortunately for me, the economy was still in the toilet so I made out really well because the values of the assets were so badly deflated.
I paid out the nose for a lawyer and lost. Lost so bad that I was assigned to pay her CC debt. She had put her lawyer on her CC!!! In the end I paid two lawyers to fight each other and still lost.

Ouch.
I have nothing to offer but condolences... Sorry man.

When my first wife and I got divorced, it was fairly amicable. We went down to the courthouse and filed the papers together, then she went with me to the other side of the building while I applied for my Washington State concealed weapons permit. There were no bumps in the divorce process.
We don't have kids together, so I don't need a father advocate attorney.
I've been divorced in Colorado before, so I'm familiar with how it works here. Last time, she had a lawyer and I did not. I won't make that mistake again.
I'm just looking for an attorney I can trust. One that is not looking for me to finance their vacation home.
Thanks for the leads so far. I'll be contacting them in the morning.

99% of women do. Prepare for the battle. The Lawyer will talk her into going for everything.

Id recommend getting a male attorney to represent you. Women tend to not fight as hard for men.
I don't have any suggestions, but wanted to say good luck to you, and I'm sorry that she couldn't work with you to do things amicably.
