Good Afternoon Everyone,

Ryan here from Prairie Arms in Littleton, CO. I created an account yesterday in hopes to both listen to our past and current customers of the store as well as to help fellow hobbyists in questions they have.

If you have ever been in our store recently or in the past, please say hello. Especially if you have had a tough time at our store, I would like to step forward and address each of you personally. I realize that may be a long long line, but it is the best thing to do and I am up for the challenge of listening to feedback and apologizing profusely!

If there is anything you would like to share offline, please feel free to email our dedicated email address for ar15 at ar15forum@prairiearms.com.

Thank you for your time!

Hello and welcome. From your post above I'm going to assume you have read the reviews in the dealer/range review forum. I'm glad to see a business owner taking steps to improve service. That's not something I see very often in todays world.

Thanks for your post. Absolutely! We understand full well we have not made everyone happy with our services. Certainly not our intent, but it sure has happened and I am not ever going to argue with past customers. Rather, it is important to listen to examples and use them as a basis to improve.

Dr. Jackson and I are sure glad that this forum exists so there is a focus area for individuals that share common interests. Better yet a place we can provide assistance and look to focus on people like you and others on this forum.

thanks again for the feedback and please let me know if there is anything we can help you with.[Beer]

Welcome.

If you look through past posts and see the posts about Specialty Sports here in Colorado Springs you'll get a great idea of what type of business practices to NOT engage in and that certainly can't hurt.

Too bad we don't have any storefront type of dealers from the Springs who were willing to join this site with the motives you've expressed. Living down here I havent had the opportunity to get to know your establishment but I certainly see your presence here as a great step.

I can't wait to see your posts!

Hi Everyone!

Its been real busy at the store lately. We have spent time redesigning the website. Please check it out and let me know what you think! (www.prairiearms.com (http://www.prairiearms.com)).

You will notice on our website we will be using the tools Twitter and Facebook. Twitter will offer us an opportunity to provide those followers with new item updates at the store, news, and special promotions for those monitoring. facebook will be there for us to plan events and discuss items and share information. Please follow those if you are interested in joining us for shooting events in the Spring of 2010!

Thanks for your time! If there is anything I or we at Prairie Arms can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask!

Ryan

Hi Ryan. Paul here, I don't mind going to a local shop and paying a little more for products and services and I have been referring people and purchasing from your place for years. I think that the only thing I can say is when I do refer people I always find myself saying the same thing, " if you are in a hurry don't go in" the reason I say this is I go in just to shoot the crap sometimes and look at your items but other times I just want to get in and out. If I want in and out I almost always have to stand around for 15min waiting for Dr. Jackson to finish on the phone or stop talking to someone else. I say this with only kindness in my hart, if I want to stand and talk I will, if I want to get out let me.
And for the others on the board this is a great shop with great people and will get you what you need. So go see them.[Beer]

Hey Everyone,

Sorry its been a long time since we have posted.

Again, I'd like to re-introduce myself. My name is Ryan and I am a managing partner of Prairie Arms since July 2009. I am in charge of all operations at the store. At that time I came in to assist Mike (who many may know) in building the business and modernize its practices. Since the partnership, we have done the following:

- First and foremost... Directly or Indiretly lose the personnel who were slowly bringing down the business due to their customer service skills, attention to details, or just plain bad behavior.

- With the current team we have certainly focussed on a model of educating each and every customer that walks in and listen to their desires or goals and provide them with the correct or appropriate merchandise. We do not just push the product on the shelf.

- We have participated in co-sponsoring community events to raise funds for charitable organizations while promoting shooting sports (2 Louviers Turkey Shoots / Provided our range up North for Tactical Training)

- We MOVED! We are now in a larger location that is slated to host an indoor shooting range of 7 lanes each at 25 yards. Also, we have a better servicing side for our Gunsmith services that allow you to talk with the Gunsmith at a counter and allow each and everyone the ability to see in to the work area without being in the work area like before!

- We built a comprehensive web store offering that hosts many if not all of your hobby needs at huge price discounts that compete with Walmart for Ammunition, Buds Guns for Firearms, and even Optics Planet for optics!
Please take a few minutes and check it out at your convenience!

- With the web store, we are also looking to expand our services around consignment sales so your firearm will be listed on the site. At the moment, you will notice only a collectable section, but the consignment area will be the same to serve your selling needs.

In closing, I look forward to seeing some of you at the store. Some I have met, but I am sure many I have not. Please understand that the shop is under new management with a high level of dedication towards service. We certainly hope to earn your business and with your help keep this store running for fellow Colorado shooting sports enthusiasts!

Wow Ryan, it sounds like you all have made quite a number of positive changes to your business. To bad I don't live closer. If I'm ever in your area I'll certainly drop by and see you.

Very nice website! Do you have most of the items on your website in stock at the store? If so, that is quite the inventory, just the Glocks alone were plentiful. I may have to try and get some time tomorrow to swing by.
