Oh, is that where they got the name!
I this is what happened when Obama said to go after those evil Russian Saiga's.......I guess the EPA took it into there own hands and this what happened.

Hmmm, that's pretty strange. Some of those photos are shocking.

Looks a lot bigger than 12 gauge !!!
At least the comments are showing a rational discussion with thorough understanding of the situation.

The things look like they have a huge hemorrhoid on their faces.

So.
How awful. 60,000 antelope dying in 4 days is a terrible thing. I hope they're able to find the reason behind this die-off, and the susceptibility to this common bacteria. I can't imagine how this will affect the ecosystem.

How come the people in the pictures aren't wearing any protective gear? I would need MOPP 4 to get within a mile of those thing, much less touch them! Bacteria just killed 60k in 4 days? GTFO. That kind of shit becoming passed to people scares the crap out of me. [panic]

I'm sure the scientists are missing something. Super fast mutating bacteria? A virus making the species vulnerable to normal gut flora? Biowarfare?
HoneyBadger is right, something ain't right here. If I worked at CIA, I'd be shipping a saiga carcass to US labs for tests.
I would prefer that the USBWL send a mobile lab to Kazakhstan. Whatever it is that killed those antelope is already there. I don't see any good reasons to import it to anyplace else.
I hear Johnston Atoll is lovely and should provide a nice setting for anyone who wishes to dissect any carcasses infected with lethal bacteria.

Johnston Atoll is contaminated with plutonium from Project 437. It is what killed my father, resulting in multiple myeloma. Take the carcass here...

Have any of these saigas recently traveled to Africa?
Can it be transmitted to liberals?

Someone is testing a new biological weapon...
They're funny looking. Natural selection, species come and go.

This was my first thought, but I used the last my of tin foil stockpile during the "Ebola sauce" crisis.

I have to agree that it is sad to see a mass die-off like that.
