View Full Version : Where to buy motorcycle helmet?
My dad is in town next week and wants a new motorcycle helmet. I'm not super sure what he's looking for but probably not a sport bike type helmet.
Anyhow, I was thinking maybe Performance Cycle might have the best selection in stock?
If you guys know a better place I'd appreciate the intel.
Thanks.
As always, I can get pretty much anything in a day or 2. Performance has the best in stock selection in town, and Don and Bernie are great folks. If you want to bring your dad by the shop, we can measure him up and get him a great deal.
Thanks. I'll let him know when he gets here and see if that's something he wants to do. He is from a small rural area and has no place to really shop for one in person and he isn't really on board with Internet shopping. He was hoping to check some stuff out in person.

+1 for TFOG. Might not hurt to go to a shop that has stock on the shelves, try stuff on to find out proper size and what he likes then go pay Jim a visit as he will be a better value.
Performance.. Broadway and Evans

Fairrpe86 said what I was going to say.
Go find what fits at Performance, and then go talk to TFOG.
TFOG Rocks.

Yes, Performance. He can try on a helmet and wear it for a little while to see if it still feels comfortable. Almost any helmet is comfortable for 2 minutes, it's being comfortable after 15 minutes that's important. I learned that lesson the hard way.
Surplus K pot? Beats the reproduction Wehrmacht Stahlhelm.
Thanks guys. I'll drag him down to Performance Cycle and let him figure out what he wants and what size he needs. Then I'll see if he wants to let Tfogger order it for him.

Ouch.
He was back to the car and checking on the driver before the guy could get out of his car. Target fixation.
