My AC unit is currently on the north side of my house and I would like to relocate it to the south side. The south side of the house is dead space while the north side is where all the room is and where I want to put up a shed next summer. While there is room for the shed without moving the unit, it would open up a lot more room to get thru. My electrical panel is directly above the unit so power would have to be ran to the south side and the condenser lines would have to be re-ran, so my question is, is this doable and approximate cost. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Keep it on the north side. It is in constant shade, which keeps it cooler while running. To put it on the south side in direct sun light will cause it to run at a higher temperature and affect it's efficiency.

Also the cost involved with rerouting the condensate & evaporative lines and of course re-wiring the power could be cost prohibitive especially if you have a finished basement.

Where I want to put it at on the south side it will be in the shade more than not is now in its current location.
