I just finished a "roll yer own" 45 can today. I tested it with 9mm as my 1911 is out getting a threaded barrel fitted. I have about $250 into an all titanium can with aluminum baffles.

The tube and caps all came from SD Tactical and is their 7.6" B sized tube.

After testing with 9mm I couldn't be happier. I can't wait to run 45's through it. Pew pew!

Cool, does it have a booster in it, or just direct thread?

Great work BigJohn! I have three tubes getting engraved right now and can't wait to start. What did you use for baffles? How many did you use? I want some more details lol!

It looks like it has a booster in the pics there.

Been mulling this over myself. Would be interested to know which booster you went with as well. Been staring at some of the homemade boosters online as well. Although I'm also considering a can for my Makarov, in which case could be direct thread. Cudos there big guy, and happy (quiet) shooting.

It looks like it has a booster in the pics there.I had to sacrifice 4 shot glasses (http://www.gunpowdertreason.net/B-one-p/b1.htm) for this project. I quit drinking so I no longer need them. I'm running a Gemtech booster in the video. Why Gemtech? I liked the way it looked <shrug>

Nice job. Rolling your own cans is very addicting.

I thought it looked like it had a booster, but wanted to be sure. Hey if it works, why not go with the one that looks good to ya [emoji12]

Once it's black, it will be very skeery.

It's a good thing you were able to put those shot glasses back to use

Do you have any pics of how you modified them? I was planning on using Ti spacer and freeze plugs but this looks like a very elegant solution. I'm intrigued!
