Hi all,
will the 6.8 C-Products mag perform just as well as the 6.8 Bushmaster mag? I'm not looking to pay $35 bucks to buy a 6.8 Bushmaster mag. Thanks.

I have 5 C-Products mags in 6.8 caliber. They tend to bulge slightly making insertion and removal difficult. They do function OK otherwise.
If you don't want to pay for better mags, stick with C-Products. If you decide you want the best mags for your 6.8 rifle, pick up a few Barrett mags. They're light years ahead of the Bushmaster and C-Products mags in terms of quality...and they hold 30 rounds. But you'll have to pay about $45 each.

I have some about 20 C-products 6.8x43mm 25rd mags. I bought them all from Midway and about 7 of them did not drop free from my magwell, so I sent them back and with no questions asked, they sent me 7 new ones and even paid for shipping.
Bailey Guns is right though... If you want the best, go with Barrett. Their mags and solid and I have never heard of a failure because of a Barrett 6.8 mag. I have 2 and I use them the most.
I have 25 x CProducts 25rnd mags. I can honestly say that I've never had a problem w/any one of them. And you can't beat the price compared to the other 6.8 mags.
I have two of the Barret 30rnd mags and they have been flawless as well. My only gripe w/them is that they allow the shortest COAL of all the 6.8 mags.
I have 6 of the 25rnd and 1 5rnd PRI mags. They have functioned flawlessly as well. I will only buy these mags from here on out. They are 3x the cost of the CProducts, but they allow you to load your COAL out to 2.305" compared to the 2.280" of CProducts, and the even shorter COAL of the Barrets. If you are a handloader this is invaluable as the 110 Accubonds, 85gr TSX, 110 Gr TTSX, 135gr SMK's, and most of the 130gr bullets available like the extra length of the PRI's COAL.
If you're a handloader, I'd go w/the PRI's, if not I'd go w/the CProducts.
Just my $0.02.

For my 6.8 spc, I just use my normal AR-15 GI and magpul mags. Have yet to have a problem with them. I have one C-products 6.8 spc mag.
Not to jack your thread, but it could help you out.....Anyone else just use their regular AR mags for their 6.8?
I can't fit more than 6 rounds of 6.8 in any of my 223/5.56 mags.

True, forgot about that, been so long since I had more than about 5 in there. I only put 3-5 in the mag when I go to the range. I think that was my problem when I tried to jam it full. Thanks for the reminder.
I have never been a big fan of C-products mags, maybe that's why I don't use that 6.8spc mag at all really.
Guess it depends on what you need to do with it. Wonder if that would count when the game warden wants to inspect your mag :).

All the C-Products mags I have now work just fine and I use them regularly with almost zero issues, but the really sweet mags are the PRI or Barrett mags for 6.8. I just wish Magpul could make a composite mag for 6.8. I love my P-mags! :)
