Hello everybody!

Recently moved from northern Virginia to Denver. Wife got a good job offer and my job let me work from home so here we are. Looking forward to getting out to the mountains for some hiking and shooting.

Welcome!

Anything is better than working the slug line just so you can drive 66 [LOL]

Still, the Commonwealth is better than the Peoples Republics of DC and MD.

Is your company hiring? I'd love to work from home!

Welcome to the site,
I was just in Ashburn (in NOVA) for a training class, and work from home myself... I'll second cstone's sentiments (I've done work in DC and MD as part of my job)

Watch the local laws, Denver (the county/city) is more restrictive than other parts of the state... even the 'burbs around Denver are MUCH varied (you may find Denver more restrictive than VA was)
Don't know if you put Denver just as a metro area- but be aware of what county/city you're choosing as your residence.

Welcome. Aurora building code requires drip edge AND ice and water shield. They are adopting IRC 2015 in 2016 though. Who knows what changes are coming.

While NOVA can suck both my wife and I were able to walk to work where we lived.

Unfortunately we are in Denver proper so the 30-rounders are stashed at my parents place back east until we buy a house.

Yes Denver can suck in certain ways but we are making the best of it. My wife is a yoga-head and I'm an avid cyclist so we have plenty to do.

Looking forward to checking out some outdoor ranges, that was one thing I missed while living near DC.
