View Full Version : Could use some prayers/good thoughts for my wife

So my wife went in last weekend for a research project she's been involved with her entire life and part of the project involved getting an MRI. Got a call today that said they found something on the MRI that we need to get checked out...an extra-axial lesion that they think at initial glance is a benign meningioma. We go in sometime next week to get a more focused diagnosing MRI and hopefully a more firm diagnosis. My initial research looks like it can be asymptomatic and may only require bi-annual monitoring to make sure it's not growing, but again we won't know for sure for a couple weeks. On the scale of brain tumors it looks to be on the really good end, but I'm freaking out all the same since the words "good" and "brain tumor" don't really seem to jive regardless of the circumstances.
If anyone has a prayer or some good thoughts to spare for her we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks everyone.
You guys are in our prayers! Hang in there!

Thoughts and prayers sent!
I pray that you and your wife may have peace and strength. I pray that her medical care providers have wisdom and skill in providing the very best diagnostic care and in recommending the most effective course of action.
Prayers sent for you and your wife!

I pray that either this is not of any concern or that your wife will receive a miraculous healing and any tumor will be inactive or eliminated.
My wife was found to have "multiple inter-cranial calcifications", but has turned out to not be any concern.
In the event medical intervention is required, I pray that the Lord will guide the hands of those that are administering her care.
I also pray for peace for you and your family, that you would be calmed and not be attacked with fear or anxiety over this.
Everything in this world is a battle (physical or spiritual), don't surrender- take up arms against those that would try to take your wife.

68Charger said it better than I could!
I realize this must be a very scary time for the both of you. Your wife must be extra terrified right now. Be her rock. If we can do more, please let us know.

Strength to you both. I hope and pray that the secondary look at the meningioma will reveal that it was an anomaly; there's nothing at all. A shadow on the screen.
Inbound brother, hope there is good news to follow.

My wife and I sincerely appreciate the prayers guys. I will definitely give an update when we know more.
And this is such a great community too. We may not all agree and we squabble from time to time, but when the chips are down for a member here everyone really does come together in support. There are some good people here, and I'm glad to be associated with you guys (and gals too).
Praying for you and your wife. If the doctors find something like that, be as aggressive as you can getting it treated. My Grandpa went through something similar and followed his doctors recommendation and lost. They had waited too long. I'm not trying to scare you I just don't want someone to make that same mistake. They knew what he had, recommended treatment but had him wait 5 months for an operation he needed the day after he received his diagnosis.
