View Full Version : Military Collectors show?
Anyone want to go to the Military collectors show at the Jefferson county fairgrounds in Golden on Sunday?
I'm supposed to be meeting an Armalist guy there at noon. Thought I might go earlier and look around a bit then meet up with him and then leave.
If you're up on the north side of town we could ride down together (I'll drive) or we could meet up there.
Have to to verify it with the wife in a couple of hours before I can make a firm commitment.

Are you sure there's one this weekend? That website looks to be Douglas County related and has no reference to a show in October.
JEFFCO SCHEDULE – 2015
NEWS UPDATE:
GLOBOS Inc. is already hard at work to expand the number of show dates for year 2016. We have asked the Jeffco County Fairgrounds to review availability of open show dates, and if at all possible for year 2016, to expand the number of show dates from four to eight. This is in response to the number of requests from our loyal Vendors and Buyers attending the show.
2015-YEAR COLORADO MILITARIA SHOW DATES
18 January 2015
19 April 2015
19 July 2015

I struggled navigating the site as well. As Crays said, click the tab for Jefferson County. October 4th is the next show.
Checked with the wife and I'm good to go. Probably leave the Thornton area around 9:00 or 9:30 if anyone wants to tag along. Going to leave the show shortly after noon, maybe grab a quick bite to eat, and be home in time for kick off.
Sunday? Fo' dollah admission? I may have to toddle over to that!

Shoot me a message if you go. I'd love to say hello and introduce myself.

Will do.
Bump.
Still have three or four empty seats if anyone wants to tag along and check out some old militaria tomorrow morning.
What time are you guys thinking you'll be there? I'm having trouble making up my mind. I would really like to look around the show, but football starts at 7:30am in London. I don't usually care but now that I have a fantasy team I end up watching all day, kinda sucks. Plus I'm in Saudi Aurora and would have to meet you guys there. Somebody needs to convince me to get off the couch. And I will definitely need contact info because I never seem to find any COAR15 people, maybe they see me first.
I plan on getting there around 10 or 10:30.
Meeting a guy there at noon and then I'm heading home.
I play fantasy football as well. Looks like I actually have two players in that early game. Fortunately for me I just kind of keep track of most of the games and stats on my phone throughout the day. I only make time in my schedule to watch the Broncos. Of course if I don't have anything going on and there's an NFL game on TV I'll probably watch.

I'm down to go with you fellas. I've never been to one of these shows. How are they usually?
sending you a pm Ray
Looks like redneck and I will be heading down there in the morning. Hopefully we'll run into rondog and big e3.
The little lady and I may swing in later in the morning. I'll keep an eye open.

If he smiles and bust out that banjo [panic]
I didn't get there until 1:30 or so. Parking lot was a hazard, with all the spandex covered bicyclists swarming everywhere.....
I hooked up with Ray at the show had a good time. I kinda feel bad for Ray, because I talk too much. He's a great guy and a great listener. We needed Rondog because Ray's ears could have used a break.

Lol. It was a good time. Always nice to meet new people with like minded interests.
Always cool to see pieces of history from the greatest generation.
Smaller show than I expected, didn't take long to check it all out. Was interesting to see what some of my goodies are currently priced at. Looks like I've made quite a few good buys over the years.
I did see something that raised my eyebrows, an M1 Garand made by Lithgow in Australia! Never heard of such a thing, just Lithgow Enfields. $1600 price tag though.
Any of you guys buy a big orange spotlight out there?

I don't even remember seeing a big orange spotlight at the show.
