Am I SOL on this one?

I have a couple AR's with 14.5 barrels and permanently attached FH's. (Hey, they were neat at the time but I guess that bites me now.)

I've only found the Halo that can be attached to a A2 FH, however my A2's are the extended version, they're not Milspec, and to top things off according to a youtube I watched Gemtech supposidly doesn't like crush washers. Mine have crushwashers locked behind a pin & welded FH. I emailed Gemtech but I guess they don't have time for stupid questions, I never got a reply. Anyone know if a Halo would in fact work in my situation?

If not and no other suppressor is available to attach to a fake A2 FH, is my only real option to end up with a clean threaded muzzle? (Replace barrel, or cut off the FH or whatever?)

Thanks.

I would look into getting a suppressor with a QD muzzle brake of flash hider. Have the AR FH removed and the new one attached permanently. Crush washers are not liked because they can crush unequal and create a misalignment.

Go with another suppressor that has a FH/Brake that make it 16" OAL. That's what i would do, unless you've already filed for your form4 on the halo.

In addition to what the others posted, either SBR a lower and put on the FH that works best for your setup, or replace the FH and re-pin.

Bert is your local smithy resource in either case for certain.

Oh no, I haven't filed for anything. I'm still in the Stewing & Researching phase.

It would be nice if something could slip over/lock onto my existing FH but I haven't found anything. Hoping you guys were aware of an option. If not, I 'll probably keep thinking and act on pursuing a Trust. I haven't even gotten that taken care of yet.

We just need to turn down those washers to match the internal diameter of the can and measure to make sure the crush washer is flat. PM sent

Don't think too long. IF (key word) IF 41P doesn't get pushed back, 12/01/2015 is when it takes effect. What is 41P & why? Go past page 2 or 3 if not uses Advanced Search (https://www.ar-15.co/search.php)

I've read about 41p. No new news for a year or so that I've seen. I'll try not worry about it, if I need a cleo sign off I THINK I'm in better shape than before. (Adams Co) Well, that's the rumor anyway.
