I got a hit on Armslist for my PPQ but the buyer lives in Omaha.

I have no problem with shipping to an FFL but what's the best way to orchestrate payment? I generally use PayPal but their recent T&C update gives a ridiculous amount of time to the buyer to change their mind and offers quite a bit of power to the buyer as well.

I feel fine using PayPal gift but I doubt anyone would go for that with someone they don't know. It seems like it would be a similar scenario for requesting a cashier's check.

TL/DR:
Have any of you guys sold out of state and shipped to an FFL?
How did you fulfill payment?

Ive sold several items out of state and used PayPal just fine. But it's off websites that the buyer had feedback on so I felt comfortable. You can use PP and then withdraw the money and make sure it all clears before shipping? I haven't read their updated T&C's though...

Dont use paypal. Even with gift I'm a little paranoid, but if you use it as a minimum receive it that way.

If you can find a 3rd party ffl willing to do it that isnt one they suggested could do that. Helps if like he said it was a high rep person from another website. If it's an armslist type deal, oh hell no.

Postal money order OR personal check 5 day hold. One buyer sent me a bank check. I called the bank to verify funds.

Thanks guys. I let him know of the UPS/FedEx requirements for shipping a handgun so I guess I'll wait to hear if he still wants it after that.

Did someone say PPQ? I guess that's your ad for the M2 9mm with the low round count.

Depending on your bank and his bank you could do P2P. If you're both with a partner bank you register with your email or cell phone number, the buyer sends funds to however you registered and boom. Instant payment and no PayPal fees.

Yeah, low round count and the one with 3 mags.
