I thought the candidates were supposed to debate each other? Why does it feel like the "moderators" are just trying to pick fights with the candidates on behalf of the DNC? This is miserable.

Yeah I said Id give it a while to watch but it quickly devolved into a shouting match and I'm already over it.

Debates ceased being actual debates the day TV was invented..

You guys are actually watching it? I'll wait for the Cliff Notes version on talk radio tomorrow morning. Only thing that would compel me to watch is if they show some hot CU college chicks in the audience.

But this isn't even the candidates against each other and they aren't even asking policy questions... they are just trying to find skeletons in the candidates' closets.

I thought it was great when they called out the "moderators" for asking aggressive and loaded questions that are more about insulting them than really looking for answers. My favorite part was calling the media the Democratic Super PAC.

Yeah, this.

I thought that was really cool. Then they all started smoking the tarded mods.......that was great.

I hope by "They" you mean Ted Cruz. [Coffee]

Well it's CNBC, arguably the most liberal of the major media outlets after all-though I do feel they're all pretty damn close.

This is exactly why nobody watches CNBC. See the numbers for yourself and it's laughable: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/category/cable-news/

What is this CNBC thing y'all are talking about?

If I was president, I would have those pesky road dividers painted bright yellow. You know the ones that are all beat up from people hitting them with their vehicles or have tire marks on them. Instead they sometimes just put a metal pole with a reflector, and it always gets knocked down by a large tractor trailer.
Make the jail inmates paint them, and they can clean up the weeds and trash too while they are there. LOL...

The moment when you realize that the debates for your Commander In Chief are ran by a multi-billion dollar entity is pretty devastating, isn't it?

Big business is good. And then all of sudden, it isn't.

Time for me to re-examine my politics. You might want to do the same.

I just finished watching a Youtube version (was busy during the actual one). Indeed, Cruz was fantastic, and Rubio's Super PAC comment was great too. And, even though I feel slightly dirty for saying it, I was impressed by Christie later too when he started on the "We're 17 trillion in debt, and you want to talk about fantasy football?!?" bit.

Here's a link to the Cruz bit (there was a bit more after this vid which was great too, but this has the bulk of it all):

Yeah, most of them are saying the right things now, but their records don't support it. Christie is a perfect example.

Christie can choke on a Krispy Kreme and drown in a slurpee. I'm sorry but fuck that RINO.

Oh, and lol at Trump getting called out about his support of firearms. Stumbled when asked if he would feel safer with his employees being armed. Then blatantly told he owns businesses that don't allow weapons, permit or not.

I think Cruz came out looking the best in this one. Krispy Creame showed well too in this debate but I can't get passed his lack of knowledge about my rights that he showed in the first debate. People are saying Rubio came out well but all I got out of this is that he is failing to do the duties of his current job and just deflected taking responsibility for that.

Everyone else is status quo, EXCEPT, the big loser was CNBC and the Democrat hosts. At least they finally got exposed for instigating instead of moderating! Maybe the next debate will provide more questions that matter and less gotcha types.

I think if Cruz can stop bringing so much religious speak and stop discussing abortion he can really build on this. At this point, people know where he stands on abortion and know that he is religous. Now it's time for him to diversify his campaign and talk about more issues.

Just saw a few of the highlights, what a joke! One thing I saw that I liked, was Ben Carson's stance on marriage. He said something along the lines of believing marriage is between a man and a woman, but just because he believes that, doesn't mean we can't be fair to the gay community, and that believing marriage is between one man and one woman, doesn't make you a homophobe.

I thought that was done masterfully... but of course the left will demonize him for it.

I watched the whole thing, and I was even tempted to race down to Highlands Ranch to watch it with Michael Brown and Mandy Connell... There were some really great moments, and some pretty awful moments- not just the ones perpetrated by the idiot moderators who wanted to sling crap. There were a few moments when the candidates lost it and began yelling and trying to squeeze in as the moderators lost control. I think Rubio did very well, Cruz was awesome, Carson was his usual self- the smartest man in the room full of smart people. Carly Fiorina lost a lot of points with me on that debate, she didn't fare very well, and the moderators tried to make her look bad with some gotcha questions that she handled well. She also said what many here have said a lot: We keep talking about changing this and that, and reforming things, but nothing ever gets done. She hammered the point that everyone is full of a lot of talk, but not much action. And Trump continued to be an ass.

Huckabee had some good points, but he, Jeb, Christie, Kasich (who looked like he was going to croak on the stage), and sadly (even though I agree with a lot of what he says) Rand, all need to bow out. They all don't stand much of a chance, and should move over so those who still can make it happen kick it up a notch. Not sure who's hosting the next debate, but I think it shouldn't be by the lame stream media that continues to cowtow to the liberal agenda. The questions last night sounded like they were written by Hillary's campaign manager.

Yeah, I don't think that could have been said any better.
