Hello all liberty loving, 2A respecting, law abiding, constitution obeying rifle shooters.

I'm sponsoring a once in my lifetime 40 person rifle class for my good friend Joe Banister. I'm inviting like minded people to a 4 day rifle course with both Joe Banister and Peter Gibbons (attorney on Aaron Russo's Documentary America- Freedom to Fascism). I would like to extend the invitation to you and any of your friends and family who would care to join us. Below are both Joe's and Peter's emails to their friends. If this is your first time at Frontsight or if you have taken a class there before you are still able to attend if you wish. Hotels are very reasonable and I'm willing to guess that it will be 4 fantastic days of fun and blast that won't be soon forgot.

Dear Friends,

A Diamond member of the "Front Sight Firearms Training Institute" has offered to fill open slots for an upcoming "Four Day Practical Rifle" training class at the Front Sight facility to friends and supporters of the "Freedom Above Fortune Radio Show" ( www.lwrn.net ). The member has suggested the following arrangement: Subject to class size considerations, any person who would be willing to donate $100- $200 of financial support to my "Freedom Above Fortune Radio Show" will receive a formal invitation to participate in a "Four Day Practical Rifle" training class at the Front Sight firearms training facility in Pahrump, Nevada (about 45 minutes northwest of Las Vegas). Invitees would be responsible for their own travel, lodging and ammunition expenses as well as bringing or renting their own rifle to use at the class. (AR-15 rifles can be rented at the facility for $100 for the 4 day period and includes all necessary accessories). General information about the rifle class is available at http://www.frontsight.com/courses/practical-rifle-training-four-day.asp .

The class is scheduled for Friday through Monday, September 25th through September 28th, 2009. I will be participating in the class with my two sons and would really enjoy the opportunity to spend time with anyone able to attend the class with us. In the evenings after class, there would of course be an opportunity to have dinner together and spend time with each other, not to mention that we would be spending four days getting rifle training that exceeds law enforcement and military standards.

If you are interested in participating in this unique opportunity, please visit www.josephbanister.com , click on the "Contact Us" menu item and send me an email with "RIFLE CLASS" in the "Message Subject" box. Tell us a little about yourself and indicate your commitment to attend the class. Serious inquiries will receive further instructions on how to secure a place in the training class. There are only so many slots available for this class and arrangements/reservations must be made immediately. When the class is full, it is full, so don't delay if you would like some of the best firearm training available anywhere in the U.S.A.

Dear Friends,

Join us for an upcoming "Four Day Practical Rifle" training class at the Front Sight facility ( http://www.frontsight.com/courses/practical-rifle-training-four-dayasp ). This class normally costs $2,000.00! You can get this excellent training for only $100 - $200 and you'll be supporting Liberty Works Radio and Joe's show.

Honestly, anyone who has had an opportunity to take classes at Front Sight has given the programs they offer RAVE REVIEWS. Even my wife who is the most gentle peace / love / cuddle the puppy kind of person you will ever meet raves about Front Sight. That is because after I just barely convinced her to attend the 4 day defensive handgun course in October of 2006, she was not only one of the best students in the class, but she was very appreciative of Front Sight's thorough, ethical, and thoughtful curriculum. They didn't just teach us how to use a handgun, but also the grave repercussions of not knowing when to use it. Many of the folks in our class were former military and active law enforcement. They ALL said it was the BEST TRAINING they had ever had, bar none.

So, if you ever wanted to get excellent instruction In how to be a proficient rifleman, don't miss this opportunity.

Subject to class size considerations (30 spots remaining), any person who donates to Joe Banister's "Freedom Above Fortune Radio Show" will receive a formal invitation to participate in a "Four Day Practical Rifle" training class at the Front Sight firearms training facility in Pahrump, Nevada (about 45 minutes northwest of Las Vegas). Invitees will be responsible for their own travel, lodging and ammunition expenses as well as bringing or renting their own rifle to use at the class. (AR-15 rifles can be rented at the facility for $100 for the 4 day period which includes all necessary accessories but not ammunition) .

As for costs: You would need to get to and return from Pahrump, Nevada (Travel). You'll need to arrange for lodging, Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night. You'll need to bring or purchase approximately 300 to 500 rounds of ammunition. You'll need to bring or rent a rifle (can be rented at the facility for $100 for the entire class). And you'll need meals/food over a four day period. The event is serving as a fundraiser for Joe's radio show so we are requesting a donation from participants, although there will be no arm twisting or expectation for those receiving this email.

The class is scheduled for Friday through Monday, September 25th through September 28th, 2009. Joe will be participating in the class with his two sons and would really enjoy the opportunity to spend time with anyone able to attend the class with us. In the evenings after class, there would of course be an opportunity to have dinner together and spend time with each other, not to mention that we would be spending four days getting rifle training that exceeds law enforcement and military standards.

If you are interested in participating in this unique opportunity, please visit www.josephbanister.com , click on the "Contact Us" menu item and send Joe an email with "RIFLE CLASS" in the "Message Subject" box. Tell him that Peter invited you. There are only so many slots available for this class. When the class is full, it is full, so don't delay if you would like some of the best firearm training available anywhere in the U.S.A. Rooms are available at both Saddle West and Best Western in Pahrump from $49-$69 per night which includes a FREE buffet breakfast for all in the room. Sack lunches are available from $6-$7 from the hotels prepared fresh daily.

The cut off for course attendees application submission is September 11, no exceptions! So don't wait.

Since my 'to the point approach' isn't cared for, here's a few facts about the company that the OP is cheerleading for:

FrontSight and Scientology:
http://www.dianahsieh.com/scientology/blog.2002.10.10.html

FrontSight and harassment litigation:
http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=138756

FrontSight being sued (repeatedly) by members for non performance:
http://www.gunweek.com/2005/piazza1110.html

Negligent death at the FrontSight training facility (there are other incidents, this is merely one):
http://www.klas-tv.com/Global/story.asp?s=6847907

Why we would even allow this shady company to come on here and pollute this forum calls for a serious 'WTF?' Listen guys, there are lots of good trainers that pass thru Colorado and that LIVE in Colorado. Andy Stanford, SouthNarc, Pat Rogers, LMS Defense, Rob Pincus, and many others are here yearly. John Farnam (DTI) and Mike Hughes (Raven Company LLC / Gunsite) are HERE in Colorado, as well as many many more.

Support the instructors and companies that live here or make the time to come here.. Don't buy into the hype.

And thanks for the no-contribution drive-by ad.

What we really need is something like this held here in Colorado.

Trying to get you and your favorite firearm into a class in another state via a flight is a royal pain in the BALLS! [Bang]

Either way... welcome to the forum. [Beer]

Thanks for the greeting. I'm a huge believer in if you try and stifle any mans speech we harm everyone's right to free speech. So I welcome any type of comments regarding this topic, however, bashing the training course due to Piazza making some bad choices is kind of like bashing a person shopping at Chinamart because they want the most for their money. And you're really not supporting Frontsight you would be supporting Joe Banister's Freedom above Fortune radio show.

There has to be a reason why Frontsight trains more people year after year than all the other training schools in the country combined.

I understand the airline flight is expensive but I figured if two to three people get together to make the 70 to 15 drive once you get to Pahrump things won't be to expensive, nevertheless, I understand it's not that easy.

This is my only one time opportunity to sponsor a class like this so if it happens to fit in a person's schedule and budget I don't think you can get this type of training for the nominal donation that is being requested for a real good cause. Frontsight has changed mine and my wifes lives for the better. I'm not saying you have to support Frontsight and become a member but why not come out for next to nothing and experience it for yourself.

McDonald's sells a lot of hamburgers. Doesn't make their food worth a crap. There are plenty of tier one shooters out there that teach, and that come here.

I agree completely with your logic. If it's crap don't digest it, but the training at Frontsight is not crap. It's very good especially if one has never attended this type of training course. Will any of your tier one shooters instruct for 4 days for $25 per day all day?

I've heard from a friend of mine who went out to Frontsight that they are awesome (and expensive). My $0.02.

I went to an Appleseed and it was great. Not tacticool but great marksmanship.

How would this compare?

nevster

I've been wanting to go to Appleseed glad to hear it has good marksmanship teaching. Frontsight's training is very structured and thorough. Day one you spend on fundamentals and you progress quickly from there. Days 3 & 4 you're doing a lot of shooting, scenarios, head shots, hostage shots, long distance, and more.

Here is Frontsights FAQ's link: http://www.frontsight.com/FirearmTraining/front-sight.asp

cshortreed's friend is correct it is Awesome and expensive so it's best if you can bring your own ammo.

Appleseed was well worth it. Cost me $75 for over 18 hours in 2 days. I did burn lots of ammo, 500 plus rounds in the 2 days.

Many brought 22lr for part or all but I wanted to learn to hit a target with my primary rifle so I just played with the AR.

esaabye you would be perfect for this class. I say that because of your reply about Appleseed. This class has a bit of everything within the 4 days of training. If you could find 1 or 2 people to share the cost of the drive and hotel the trip would not be that expensive. I know that's all relative to each persons situation.

It would be a pleasure to meet you and to shoot with you.

Is anyone interested in Carpooling out there? My two training buddies both backed out and I REALLY want to go. But I REALLY don't want to drive out by myself. I'm looking for 1-3 people who might want to share travel expenses. I'd be coming from the Pine/Conifer area.

Email me direct at r oostn 67 @ yahoo.com

Just a quick update on the class. I drove out and took the class this last weekend. It was an excellent course as all the Front Sight courses are (my 3rd class). I met Neven (he sponsored the class) and Joe Banister (the guy who does the radio show). Both are GREAT GUYS! We had a great time and shared 4 solid days on the range training hard. Neven missed Distinguised Graduate by one round with his Romanian AK! That guy can shoot and he is a real patriot for setting this class up.

Regardless of what you read on the internet about Front Sight, I have trained out there for years and they are top notch. You don't return from a class as a blathering scientologist zombie. You do come back nicely tuned up and having some good range time.

One really cool deal I saw with my own eyes:

Our primary instructor is a 3 combat tour Marine Sniper/Instructor. He made a 325 yard shot on a steel target with his Glock .40 S&W! That was impressive until he backed it up with...
A 1000 yard shot on a steel target with the same Glock!
Impressive! So, my point is, don't miss an opportunity when it presents itself!

Keep Shooting Guys!

Its only impressive when you tell us how big the target was and how many rounds it took him to walk the shots in.

Either way, hope you had fun and learned something.

He hit on the 4th round and 6th round at 1000. The target was a standard full sized steel siluette. I don't care who you are, that was impresive! I didn't think a .40 would even carry that far.
