The reaction-less thrust engine thread lead me to this discovery in a blog mentioned there:

Apparently this guy is saying they've all had it wrong with their climate models, and he also states:
“But the political obstacles are massive”.
This would mean that current climate change is possibly politically motivated?
This is the part the left REALLY doesn't want to hear:
“The model architecture was wrong,” he says. “Carbon dioxide causes only minor warming. The climate is largely driven by factors outside our control.”
Of course global warming is political...politicians generate unbelievable volumes of hot air...
Even NASA has just recently put out a report saying that Antarctic ice is actually growing, faster in some areas than it is melting. Who'd a thought.

Absolutely.
For a model to have any value it must be able to predict into the future with actual results that line up with those predictions. The climate models are nowhere close to the reality.
The IPCC is run by politicians and non-governmental organizations, not scientists. Most of the true scientists dropped out of the IPCC early in the game when their science was put aside for an agenda.
Follow the money. How many of these findings are by "National Academy of XXXXXXX"? The government funding is in making the allegation...not in finding the truth.
I thought we all agreed not to discuss climate, sexuality, religion, and politics. Wtf.

Get the new book by Sheila Zilinsky, "Green Gospel: The New World Religion". She's a friend of mine, it's an excellent, well researched book, and if it means anything, she's being sued over it... http://www.greengospel.ca
I assume the Green Party is suing her. Sounds like an interesting read.
being sued for putting forth the facts, I'd be willing to bet, and the political powers don't like people who present the facts that contradict the lies they are selling.

I haven't read the book but.....
Why wouldn't the Left murder 6 billion people? Do you really think they've given it a moments thought? Ends (totalitarian global government) justifies the means (murdering 6 billion people) and 500M is a lot easier to control than 6.5B.
Stalin and Mao murdered over 70 million people between the two of them, imagine how many skills and how much revenue were destroyed along with those murders, skills and revenue that could have helped grow those societies. Did Stalin and Mao think of the future, NO, they just wanted any opposition, real or perceived, to be eliminated.
Leftism is self-defeating, at some point there is no incentive to learn, to discover, to invent, to labor, because the Left steals the fruits of all these things without thinking about the future and then the future comes and the leftist society collapses because it destroyed the very things it needs to support itself. That is what we're seeing in Europe and the USA, we're coming to the point where the fruits of our education, ambition, and labor only benefit the state. Education, ambition, and labor become a waste of time for the individual because the Left has destroyed the incentives through taxation and regulation.
The environmental movement is an attack on human life. Telling people that CO2 is a poison is an enormous lie.

I do not trust the libs any more than the next guy. Their beliefs are one thing. Tell me how they plan to eliminate almost 7 billion people. What time frame are they looking at? I'll be adjusting my tin foil.

2030 is a start. Look at the "new" Agenda 2030 from the UN. It's actually a repackaged Agenda 21 but just as deadly.
They have many, many ways. Ignore it to your own peril...
