View Full Version : National Unions win in Jefferson County
Looks like they recalled all the current members and approved both tax issues. [Rant1]

Unfortunately it happened. Which i believe doesn't bode well for those of us who believe in individual thought, or freedom. Keep this up and that health care single payer ballot issue might pass. [fail]

This makes me so angry. The recall was based on 100% lies and originated with unheard of biased support by the media. How many other times have you heard every news station report on the exact locations of where everyone can sign recall petitions?
How many other times have you seen media "truth tests" actually publish corrections and apologize for how wrong they were but only two days before the election ensuring the damage had already been done?
The media claims the conservative board members are paid by outside money but it's the pro recall folks who have actually been sued because they have illegally refused to report where $100k in donations came from...but a liberal judge granted them an extension so they don't have to disclose that info until after the election.
The pro recall folks claim the board members are violating open meeting laws but they are the first board in history to open union negotiations to the public. They live stream every single meeting and publish the meeting minutes.
The leading pro recall folks posted tweets about cleaning their guns and learning to shoot just in case the election doesn't go their way.
The pro recall folks get to publish their LIES on the actual ballot.
This entire thing stinks to high heaven and I can't believe how gullible the people in JeffCo have become. I am ashamed of JeffCo.
Now we have a 100% liberal board. This school district is going to be a disaster in no time.

Two years ago I really though we might have a chance to turn this state around. But now it's becoming rapidly clear that Colorado won't just be on the path to ruin, but that it will be a liberal hell hole in no time.

Douglas County school board appears to have gone left as well.
Every since Wisconsin and Douglas County the unions will do just about anything to keep the tax payer funded education gravy train on track. I don't feel a bit sorry for anybody stupid enough to vote for this recall. And they deserve the tax increases coming down the pike to pay for the sorry excuse over priced education they're kids are going to get.

Oh just wait. So glad our daughter graduated 14 years ago. Even then the re-education camp folks were gearing up.

I live in JeffCo. My kids are 6 and almost 2. Time to move.

Mine are all done also here in Douglas County. But, I still want my taxes dollars to go toward a quality education system.

Don't live there and no longer work there. I love teaching but I hate education. It took only 4 years at JeffCo Schools for me to realize that. For 4 years I was able to see behind the curtain and I learned a lot.
Go the Thesaurus.com and type in education and take a look at the results.
Public sector unions - the self licking ice cream.

This whole thing was all about the teachers, not about the kids. They started this recall after the board was in place for 1 year. Look at the money that was spent, millions. I am pissed
This is just the incentive these unions needed, now they know with enough money they can buy stupidity.

Mediocre Jeffco teachers no longer have step up their game or fear getting kicked to the curb.
So Glad this was all about the children.

The flip side is Bloombergs $$$ failed to win him and the anti-gun D's seats in the VA congressional race. Which will be overlooked by the recall here. AGENDA, AGENDA, AGENDA.

This is why people need to get involved in local politics. The leftists or rather communists (because that is what they are) had these three board members out done from the get go. There wasn't nearly as much opposition to it as there were communist minions out working to make it happen.
It is just nuts how people complain when these things occur, but they themselves did nothing, ZERO to counter the communists. If you want to make s--- happen you have to get off your ass and go get involved in politics. Those f----rs are very well funded and very well organized.

This is the first local election I have gotten involved in. And it was one of the most egregious as far as media bias goes.
From day one, literally every local news station ran a story on each hour of evening news showing and listing by address where people could go sign the recall petition. All while they reported the pro recall complaints as fact. With that help, they had enough signatures in a matter of days and had set the popular opinion in stone.
Some teachers lied to the students using school time to organize student protests and walkouts, the details of which were leaked to the media to ensure cameras would be there to cover it.
Witt was on the radio daily doing interviews. Literally daily, explaining the truth. Colorado Government Watch filed a lawsuit against the pro recall groups very obviously breaking campaign law but the courts made sure to delay any hearing until after the election. Both efforts were unheard by the population at large.
Hell, my No Recall sign was stolen and I personally know of a half dozen others who had theirs stolen too.
We got beat big-time.
I'm kind of ashamed of Jeffco. I grew up there, got my education there, and before moving was proud to have cast a vote for the now recalled board members. WTF? How was it even allowed to go with almost every point of it being lies? The unions were called grassroots by 9 news, while they said the board members were supported by big money. 9 News, the unions, and the pro-recall parents are full of shit.
And with the rest of the election, Denver sales tax increase for communist college ideas, keeping the excess pot tax (which will now be forever), Doug Co going to the dems, Colorado will soon become a very uncomfortable place to live.

This just reinforces my already low opinion about most people, they are fucking stupid and deserve nothing but the worst.
People want the government/union to decide wages, they don't want to earn their way through life and have their wage determined based on individual merit. The reason they don't want their income determined by their own abilities is because they don't have any abilities and they don't want to work to improve themselves. Sloth and stupidity are the main drivers of the $15 per hour mandatory minimum wage.

One of the big reasons for the loss is that the incumbent board members were not able to work together on a united, cohesive team the same way the pro recall candidates did. The incumbents were already being falsely accused of violating open meeting laws so they were actively avoiding being together outside of board meetings. They purposefully made sure they were never at the same social, political or any other events in order to make sure there wasn't any ammunition for further accusations. They played by the rules against liars and cheats.
And if there was any wonder where the big money was, here's the front page today. Pro recall teachers and parents celebrating their win at an expensive, rented hotel ballroom last night. Think the teachers paid for that with their own money?

So much money has been poured into education since I was getting a public education...and the quality of the education has gotten so much poorer. The ruling class is getting the product they want; easily manipulated, socially engineered, narcissists that can't think on their own or find a solution to life's problems without their cell phone.

Exactly what they want but these mooks won't be able to deliver the $$$ like the ruling class wants. Both groups will be the authors of their own demise.

Public schools have failed for a long time. [Coffee]
Douglas County school board appears to have gone left as well.
Not all of it.. Just those 3. The other 4 are still the anti-union ones that cleaned everything up in the first place.
Well all the funding info is coming out now. This was no "Grass roots, parent led recall" NEA donated a majority of funding to the tune of $150,000 Also Jefferson United broke election laws and tried to hide the national donors. But they got caught and have to pay a fine. But we wont hear anything from 9 news.

Gee, the teachers union lied, you gotta be kidding. Teachers union members and their administrators are the most upright, trustworthy people around, they're NEVER self-interested or self-promoting. Everything they do is for the benefit of the children they're entrusted to educate.
OK, now I've got that out of my system.
The funding sources were NEVER in question and there NEVER was a grass-roots campaign. The teachers union and all the people associated with it are GODDAMN LIARS and they deserve absolutely all the hell that can be rained down and them and their families.
Crap! And I was going to say that!!!
AS IF it needed saying.

“We’ve known since 2014 the national union was involved,” Atwell said. “It’s unfortunate that the Jeffco voters were unaware of it until now.”
You'd have to be brain dead not to know that.
You'd have to be brain dead not to know that.
I'll bet most JeffCo voters are still unaware.

No they're not brain dead. Once again by being in DENIAL. They have someone to blame when it fails. Other than them self. REMEMBER THEY ARE VICTIMS.
Personal Responsibility be damned.
We all new, because we were paying attention. Many people didn't and we'll that's why we are were we are at. Plus they had big money for marketing. Seems most people make voting decisions based on 30 second commercials and yard signs
And the hits just keep coming.

Looks like the recall cost an extra $225,000. That money has to be paid for by the school district. One more lie from Jeffco United.
To the voters of Jefferson County: If you like your school board, you can keep your school board.

And it was a judge that allowed the recall organizers to delay disclosing where the money came from until after the election. Tell me that judge wasn't biased.

Judge probably got a big fat check after the election results came in.
