I never thought this would be the outcome.
Something still doesn't smell right. Would be interesting to see more of the facts.

This. How does one shoot himself in the chest twice, especially when the shot that hit his body armor did massive internal damage according to reports.

#1: Large Caliber firearm
#2 .......Accomplice. 2 people can keep a secret. As long as 1 of them is Dead .
The investigation indicates at least two others were involved in criminal activity, though that inquiry is ongoing, and police are not commenting further for now, he said.

I'm skeptical. The whole situation smells.

He may not have been under investigation at the time he killed himself, but it was at least imminent from what I've read.
My guess is he knew he was gonna be found out. Because of that he tried to make it look like a line-of-duty related death so his family could collect the various benefits from the feds and other sources that could amount to $400,000 or more.
No...he did it. I can't imagine it's the way the dept wanted the investigation to turn out but there's no doubt in my mind.
I feel especially bad for his family.

Well, hell.... Now they're saying it's possible the wife and son were in on the scheme, or at least knew about it according to published text/FB messages. What a messed up situation for everyone.
Also that possibly he tried to hire someone to kill him??!! Deep end stuff for sure. One messed up situation all around.
How much money are we talking about here? People do absolutely stupid stuff for relatively small amounts of money.
I didnt hear this. Dang.

He may have even been the whistle blower and some one in his department killed him for it. Can't and won't trust media or pd reporting on this.
