Not sure I'm allowed to divulge any details yet so I'll be vague.

I purchased some gear from a company earlier this year and received an email the other day about a new product they are developing. They are going to send me a prototype to test out for a month and provide feedback on the product. Once they settle on a final design I am going to send the prototype back and they will send me the final product free of charge.

Once it's all said and done I'll post up some details on the product as well as an honest review.

That's awesome man! Wouldn't mind testing out products, I always figure out how to accidentally break things.

Aren't we supposed to be guessing what it is.....I say holster. We should have a bunch of good ideas by the time Ray gets to tell us. And Ray has to give the first one to guess right, a bag of Cheetos for making us wait and rubbing it in how cool he is and we're not.

Just kidding but I am jealous.

Ok. Thought I'd update this in case anyone cares.

A company called SHTF Gear was coming out with a new holster and invited me to be a part of the evaluation process. Since they have the product listed for sale on their website now and it pretty much looks like the one I was sent for evaluating I feel OK posting a couple of pictures I took before I sent it back.

It's a single clip hybrid style holster. I found it very comfortable to wear both strong side and in the appendix position. The clip is easily adjusted for ride height and cant. There were lots of things I liked about the holster but ultimately I decided it just didn't fit my needs adequately. Part of me being a guinea pig was that when I sent the prototype back they would send me a brand new production model. For me, their Ace-1 holster was more to my liking and they were happy to send me one of those instead. Since I already have one for my 43 they were nice enough to send me one for my 19.

Anyhow, I highly recommend the company and their products are top notch and well worth the money.
