Searched the archives for mention of the college stabber but surprised to find I couldn't find anything. I would have thought we'd have brought this up -- maybe my Google-fu just sucks this morning. Delete or merge if this is redundant.

For those who don't remember, one particularly addled individual went on a stabbing spree at the University of California Merced. Law enforcement, including the county sheriff, maintained there was no evidence the assailant (one Mohammed Faisal) had connections to any terrorist group or was inspired by terrorists.

... and yet ...

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/11/06/campus-stabber-manifesto-included-praise-for-allah-plan-for-beheading/?intcmp=hpbt1

A handwritten manifesto carried by a California college student whose stabbing spree Wednesday left four wounded bore names of his targets, a vow “to cut someone’s head off” and as many as five reminders to “praise Allah,”

In the two-page document found in Faisal Mohammad’s pocket by the county coroner, the 18-year-old freshman wrote a numeric list outlining his plans of who he wanted to kill, and how, including beheading and shooting his victims,

"He had a smile on his face, he was having fun, which is more the thing that bothers me," said Byron Price, who was managing the construction site at the university for his family’s construction company.

Oh yeah ... and he was stopped because someone decided to take protective action rather than wallow in a corner, crying:

Mohammed fled the classroom after he was overwhelmed by Price and another construction worker who was about to hit Mohammed with a ladder.

“He was banking on the fear factor. …His plan went haywire because people fought back,” Warnke said. “He got so befuddled at the activities that happened; it took the script away from him.”

While I'd certainly rather have a loaded pistol than a ladder at hand, you use the means available to you and respond to the threat, take action. Don't just stand at a wall befuddled and crying because gun/knife control failed to do what the politicians and social justice wimps have promised.

Then there's this from http://therightscoop.com/law-enforcement-sources-say-uc-merced-attacker-was-on-terror-watch-list-college-was-warned-of-threat/

Anonymous law enforcement officials have told the Merced County News website that not only was Faisal Muhammed, the UC Mercer attacker, on a federal terror watch list, but officials at the school had been warned that an attack might occur.

Hard to tell how accurate this is given the anonymous sources, but it would not surprise me if true.

I just wish we had more people in this country who would take up arms and fight back against these pussies, weather it be with a ladder or a firearm. These cowards hide behind the fact that most people will cower in fear and as soon as someone starts bashing their fuckin head in the tables turn.

This happened right near where I grew up. Two of my cousins are teachers/staff there and were present. One of my other cousins is a college law enforcement officer right near there. I have spent many hours on that campus - and several hundred hours on the ranch that was there before the college was built.

ALL OF THEM SAY IT WAS RELIGIOUSLY MOTIVATED. They were there and saw what happened first hand.

That area is not a nice place to begin with. Merced was a ranch/farming town that has, over the last 25 years, turned into an utter and total shit-hole where gangs are rampant and everyone is on public assistance of some sort. It was a city that was actively target as a haven city, where many immigrants were transplanted. I do not feel safe there and grew up right near there; to the point that I just moved my grandmother from there just last month - she lived there for 88 years and has watched the utter decline. The college itself is separated from town by a few miles but it was only a matter of time before something really bad happened there.

The Great-Kazoo brought up the subject here; https://www.ar-15.co/threads/152349-Open-carry-law-under-scrutiny-after-Colorado-Springs-rampage?p=1926751&viewfull=1#post1926751

Looks like it's time for some common sense manifesto laws.

Another coward making headlines. [Shake]
