Where I live at the littleton/lakewood border, I cannot find anywhere to get AK ammo at anything other that high LGS prices. Mind you, I haven't looked at all of them but I just wondered if there was a go to place/places that the locals know about I am not privy to at this point.

Online is just about always the best price for quantity. If you are buying a box at a time, Wal-Mart normally has it in stock at a decent price. Also, you should check out Ark Tactical. Noah isn't too far from you.

I usually hit up Walmart, like 5.50 for a box of tula. Last time I went, they had 40rd boxes of tula for under $10.
Cabelas will probably have more quantity, but cost a little more.

In another 3-4 months that will be a price one should have purchased at.

How much 7.62x39 is too much? Trying to decide if I want more of it or if I should add to my 5.56 or 9mm reserves.

I use targetsportsusa.com, free shipping on cases. Free shipping on heavy ammo is nothing to sneeze at!

What ever your wallet / account can afford. I just found 800 rds of CCI sub-sonic 22 in a real out of the way parts bin. That was a surprise

Wal-mart generally is in line with SG on 7.62x39, but i've noticed its been pretty scarce lately. They'll have plenty of everything else, including lots of 7.62x54r, just not the 7.62x39. The 40 round packs are the best deal

Doesn't surprise me. I've seen your place. The word "organized" isn't exactly the first word that pops to mind.

Not ragging on you by any means. Hell, I find stuff I forgot I had all of the time. Besides, being disorganized is a sign of genius. Or so they say.

Lol. Not any more. I did find a couple hundred rounds that had ended up in an ammo can with some 5.45x39 but it has since been put in its proper place with the rest of the 7.62x39.

I'm still shooting Norinco Green Box and stuff out of a 1440 case of russian white box. Think i have some of the chi-com copper washed steel case stuff.
