Is there a Colorado based AR-500 steel target seller? If not who is the recommended "go to" place to purchase them?

AA Targets or Colorado Outback is all we use in Pueblo.

AA is also the Gold Standard of long range rifle targets. Many many many matches use AA targets.

Here is an example of how good of a product AA puts out. Lot of high energy 300 yard impacts on this 1/3 size coyote.

Is there a "standard" size of target used at specific distances in competitions that utilize them. I am looking to use them more at 400, 400, and 600 yards

Six and twelve inch diamonds are pretty common. But there is no standard. Past 800-1,000 the target size gets up to 18x18 -18x24.

In Pueblo we shoot everything from 10 inch IPSC targets to 2x3 squares.

Thanks, I just wasn't sure. I guess size is individually dependent on use. This `18 inch 2"12 inch thick beast is at the 500 Meter line on CRC's Metallic Silhouette range. Presumably to mimic the vitals zone of an animal at that range. I was surprised to see the cratered face of the steel however I thought you wanted to keep them smooth faced for safety concerns.

I have shot my targets for years now with everything from 50bmg, 338 lapua, 300win,300wsm, pistol calibers, etc and none of mine look like that. I understand hundreds of people have probably shot that target. I wonder if it isnt just mild steel. Also That probably was much closer at some point and they cycled it out to the 500 yard line. My experience is that at 500 yards on a swinging target you arent going to get alot of dangerous splash back. (to shooters on the line)
I wonder how much steel core ammo shot that?

Their 18 inch 500 Meter (547 Yards), 16 inch 385 Meter, 13 inch 300 Meter, and 13 inch 200 Meter look similar. Pictures of those are in my last post of my Hunting rifle sight in thread here. https://www.ar-15.co/threads/152454-My-hunting-rifle-appears-to-be-minute-of-elk-accurate-%28I-am-happy-off-the-bench-anyway%29

Yeah that chunk of steel isn't AR-500. Just thick mild steel.

I'm with AA Targets. We'd love to earn your business! New content will be on our website soon, but we offer swingers with belted straps, gongs, IPSC's of all sizes, hostage taker targets, animal silhouettes, spring loaded p dogs and a bunch of other stuff! We also do custom target based upon your desired needs/wants. We use premium certified AR500 and premium certified AR550.

We meet folks pretty regular down in Denver to save on shipping!

If I can answer any questions for you etc feel free to PM me here or email me at Austin@aatargets.com
