Yeah I know CSP are cut from a different cloth than most LE.
But I worked along side a bunch of them through the years and the majority were OK.
RIP Trooper.

Curious if anybody is familiar with the alleged driver?

Too much celebration at the bronco game?? the whole deal is fuked. Loosing another LE in the Line of Duty
Sad, but that's the chance you take when you make a living standing on the shoulder on a busy highway.

Tell me about it, I went to 4 funerals in 23 years.

They hadn't released any suspect (or victim) info when I was seeing this on the news this morning. Thanks for the update.

Most officers are just like you and me they just are doing something that involves people having the worst day of there life. God bless this officer and his family. Shame on any person that hits and runs and if he had been drinking he should be in jail for a very very long time I will not fill sorry for him.
I believe the officer was female.

Yes, it is a lady Officer that suffered this outcome.
Really is a horrible circumstance.

One thing I never tolerated during my LE career was drunks...especially behind the wheel. For exactly this reason. I hope the beer was good because it fucked up the lives of a lot of good people. You'd think a retired O6 would have more sense than that.
Sad to see an officer go down like that. They too like the military put their lives on the line when they go on the job.
