Seems like a reputable place. I know some guys here got theirs done here. May I ask how much you fellas spent? (I know it's a different price for everyone. Just looking at a ballpark) Experience?

My PRK was $2,400ish at ICON. PRK used to be the more expensive option, but they told me the price is about the same now a days.

I am getting mine done on Friday this week (11/20) at "Insight". I'll reply again this weekend with feedback.

There is a Lasik thread that is several pages long. Pretty sure there are prices, and reviews of different doctors in that thread.

Yep. Search for it. Lots of good info. I got mine done at 20/20 Institute earlier this year. Can't recall exactly what I paid. I'm now better than 20-20 vision in both eyes. It would have been worth twice what I paid. Also, I'm really impressed with the quality of care I've received there.

I did search. That's why I'm filtering out to Spivack patients only?

Spivak is not longer associated with the firm. He sold his name to the cooperation that bought him out.

Got mine done at Spivak, he was still there but I had one of the other doctors do my actual surgery. Mine was either 3100 or 3300 for custom blade free Lasik. This was approx 5-6 years ago

I had mine done there about 16 years ago, just as soon as the FDA approved it on really bad eyes. I had 4pts of estigmatism and was beyond 20/2000 in both eyes....... About $5000.00 and was worth every penny. Still legal to drive w/o glasses. A close friend went to one of the "get in, get out" cheaper places that had sprung up, and was OK'd by the Dr. He went through the pre Lima with the Dr, but the laser wouldn't except the parameters. Dr told the assistant to over ride but she wouldn't. He later went to Spivak and was told his corneas were not "thick" enough to safely have that much removed..........
Moral is get the best there is! I can't say now, but Spivak was the first and only approved for the amount of laser surgery that mine required.
You are spot on to check as much as possible.

Had mine done by Spivak in 2000 and still 20/20, although I should probably have reading glasses. I think i twas right around $3500 total at the time and well worth it. I went back recently to see if I needed my lasik updated but it turned out to be dry eyes. I hadn't kept up my end of the lifetime guarantee so I'd have had to pay but they said everything was great and recommended I use eye drops when the air is so dry.
