I don't put much stock in these things, and I expect most of your share that sentiment. If you've already contacted the governor's office and don't think that is enough, you can also add your name to this petition with 15,000 signatures.

Already did it and sent a few emails. Doubt it will matter, sure didn't help during the gun rights issues here at home.

And since the Governor, nor a state, can refuse refugees, waste of time too. Reagan's immigration reform and control act might sting a little now.

CO politicians on the left didn't care one wittle bit about the thousands of letters, phone calls, etc. urging them not to mess with gun rights and they won't care in the slightest if a portion of the populace doesn't want terrorists imported by the thousands here.

But this is another way to put them on the record for being treasonous anti-liberty goat fuckers.

I sent them feathers last time, as i hate writing letters to legislators. I know they think they can do what ever they want, based on emotions, NOT their constituents say . Still have some Tar laying around.

The soap box and ballot box have not gotten their attention.............................

Heard on the Michael Brown show an interesting point on Hick. On Rosens show he hid behind the law book, saying he can't violate Federal law and exclude these poor, wonderful and peaceful people.

But, but, but...........yet he willingly violates Federal law everyday by allowing a Schedule 1 drug to be "legally" sold.

Nearly as effective as changing your facebook pic to a French flag.
Good luck with that.

If the Governor was honest he'd just say "Send us the refugees....and the Federal money that will follow them".

This whole thing is kinda silly. Let's say CO has the ability to refuse refugees. So they get sent to NY instead. But there are a few Islamic radical goat rapists in the NY group that want to blow up the Federal Center in CO. They'd just get in a car and drive there.

Nobody checks papers at the State borders, and nor should they. This whole "refusing to accept" thing is overblown IMHO.

Do I like that they are coming here, anywhere in the US, at all? NO.

Heard the same radio show as Bert. Hickenpooper hid behind the fact that once they are in the U.S, he can't do anything about them coming to Colorado. Listening to him talk about the vetting of the refugees was comical. He knows the vetting is worthless and he skipped around and bumbled every time he talked about it. Claiming the feds will have it covered.
Was a frustrating listen to say the least. Kept saying that it is a 2 year process to clear them to come to the U.S and if the fed govt will make sure that they are not bad guys.

Remember. Hick is the same guy who said he sign the magazine ban, because someone asked him to.

Agreed. We already have 2.6 million Muslims living in America. If Isis or any other terrorist group wanted sleeper cells, they've already got them here. The ones here were vetted about as well or worse than the 10k coming through. Heck, we have 11 million illegal aliens from down south with no vetting at all. The risk factor is very low; statistically, your car is more danger to you than a terrorist of any stripe.

Yes, but until 2014, Islam had no caliph. With a caliph, their rules change and according to the Koran, so should their actions. If you are interested in learning about what ISIS may really want and some of the foundations of their cause, here is a good article: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2015/03/what-isis-really-wants/384980/

With a caliph and territory, the rules have been significantly changed and American leadership does not appear to understand it.

I read that article at the beginning of the week, on a another forum, and forwarded it on. It's a great read, and we should be focused on the strategy described by the author.

Isis isn't the only terrorist organization that we need to worry about.

That statement would be true if all Muslims were alike but they're not. The refugee importation program has a self-selection bias that you're not accounting for. Do we have radicalized Americans? Sure, recent arrests have proven that. However, we also have documented evidence that ISIS plans on using refugee programs to insert additional agents. Say ISIS and al Qaeda already have 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 sleeper cells in the US ... what's the logic behind giving them the ability to organize ANOTHER 10, 20, 60?

I disagree Mark.
The "Leadership" understands perfectly that the rules have changed. They helped re write them.
