Oh SNAP! THEY'VE GOT TRANSPARENT MAGAZINES!!! RUN FOR THE HILLS!!! [ROFL1]
ETA: Holy crap! The effective range of their Glock 17 is 50 yards while their fancy-shmancy Sig 516 is "highly accurate to a range of 100 yds". And after looking closer, it appears that the rifles in the pictures is not the 516 at all.[facepalm]

No kidding. Britain has really changed since the Victorian/Edwardian era -- not all for the better either (although the quality of food over there is MUCH much better).
Is there something wrong with admitting this picture kinda excites me?

I think I get the "secure, encrypted firearms channel" on my Roku.

One of the comments: Those would be kevlar reinforced, firearms tactical boots with an effective range of 2 feet.

I thought the padded knees are a nice touch... :)
Liberals confirm scary black guns keep us safe.
I don't understand why they need 30 rounds?
The blue pop-out box in the article says that the rifles are from the US company SIG Sauer.
I don't understand why they need 30 rounds?
Yah, I thought a side-by-side was adequate.

As recent as last week I've argued with Brits that scold us Americans for having police officers that carry pistols, pointing out that their Bobbies only have a night-stick and that this is some sign that they're more civilized than us.
Looks to me like she needs more firearms training. Checkout her itchy finger. Don't think those tactical knee pads will stop a 5.56.

Might prevent rug burns, though.

Why are all the speed limit signs in England in MPH?

-A carbine that's not good past 115 yards. Ummm...no. Unless it's a 7.5" SBR, just no.
-Fireproof overalls...do they really think racecar drivers and firefighters would wear all that bulky nonsense if they could just throw on a flight suit?
-Bulletproof goggles? Shrapnel-proof, sure. But ballistic combat goggles...LOL.
-I don't know the difference between a radio channel and a firearms channel.
-EXTRA AMMUNITION?!?!?!?! My God, think of the children. The police don't need the ability to actually fend off terrorists armed with RPKs and explosives. What happened to the good ol' billy club, Bobby?
And this is why Liberals all go for journalism degrees. They (degree and person) are useless.
Missed the extra mag pouch under the arm.

This sarcastic comment really made me laugh. And then cry, because I currently live in California.
Surely they are not suggesting that Britain will be safer with AR's and 30 rd mags loose on there streets. I must be reading this wrong, with a 30 rd mag why would they need any more mags? And a handgun that holds an ungodly 17 rds. What if this arsenal were to fall into the wrong hands, possibly a citizen. Oh the Humanity!

I do like the gray look vs FDE or black that police tend to wear. Looks good.

Too funny, that's what I said to the wife when I was showing her the picture.
