View Full Version : Buy before Hillary becomes President

What's on everyone's list to buy before Hillary gets the D nod and starts making her push to become POTUS? Even if she doesn't become POTUS I think she will create another mini panic on gun related products as next year's election nears.
I'm looking to buy a few cases of oddball ammo before prices increase 100%+
Powder, primers, maybe bolt carrier groups.
I'm thinking about buying a crap ton of AR parts while they're cheap and plentiful. Then sell for a profit when election time comes. I figure I can easily double my money on a $50 stripped lower or a $500 frankenrifle when the time comes.

Preparation H, by the case.
Because if she does we are all gonna get assraped.

You evil capitalist, making money off people who don't have your foresight, ambition, knowledge, cash-at-hand and wherewithal. Don't you know they have big screen TVs, expensive vacations, and other useless shit to buy and you're bad man because you're going to sell stuff at a profit and take advantage of their stupidity, laziness, poor monetary allocations, and lack of foresight. [Beer] I'm right there with you Ray.

Enough AR' s and ammo for everyone in the house then I'm going with Ray' s plan!
Yep. God bless capitalism.

Don't sweat it. The democrats that were responsible for you losing your job will take care of you. That's how that shit works.

With prices as low as they are, I'm interested to see what folks like palmetto state and others are gonna be offering this next week. Might have to pick up a "sell during the gunpocalypse" kit or two.

I'll likely pick up another KISS rifle and and more ammunition.
Last time the shortages were ammo, lowers and LPKs. Does anyone remember the buffer tube/stocks availability from the last time?

Not a damn thing. You folks didn't learn, or old enough to remember 89 & 94 are too late. Much too late.
For those who want to BUY. I suggest a lathe, milling machine, tig welder, good cold cut chop saw, reloading equipment & components. That's what i will probably do. OR convince a group of people it's WHAT WE NEED TO DO ;)

It didn't matter what part it was, if it was gun related it was out of stock or 100x more expensive. I can remember trying to buy a mag for a savage .22 and could not find them or they were so over priced I wasn't going to buy it... Stock up on anything you need/want now, even if she doesn't get the nomination, someone will. In general elections will bring a panic, plus any mass shooting can bring a panic on too.
I have been wondering how many will be complaining about the prices of guns, mags, ammo, etc. this time around. Other than a shortage of funds there is no reason to be caught without this go around.

OH THERE WILL BE COMPLAINING The same losers who complained about OVERCHARGING & PRICE GOUGING . Will be like the last go round. The same people who thought everyone else, but them should sell their shit cheap. They know who they are and have no doubt 1 or 2 will chime in.
I see items they post for sale now and still avoid them. No matter how good the item is they have.
Same for those who log in to sell an item, not contribute (for good or bad) any place else. You know those 75, 100, 150 post with 99.5% all post in the Trading Post forums. Not a penny to them.

Before I moved behind the iron curtain, I stocked up on a lot of stuff. I don't plan on selling any of it until I'm back in Free America and the political climate is such that I don't think I'll want or need it all for myself.
If there are some really good deals at PSA there are a few things I'm keeping an eye out for.

On a different note, I saw an article last week where JugEars plans to go on a full "assault on guns" from here on out.

why you baggin on me Kazoo. I read most posts, but my brand of sarcasm isn't much appreciated. I type 10 times more posts than I actually post.
Preparation Hillary? Going to need more than a case to treat that pain in the ass.
A turkey sandwich, because I'll want lunch.
Considering the latest articles of HillBill and her sycophants going after that comedy club because of the mockery of Her Sainted Highness, I'm thinking of scooping up anything that pokes fun at her expense. I think that Party City has some silly masks.
This occurred to me a couple months ago. Since then I've bought 3 guns and a lot more ammo that I should have. The girlfriend ain't happy, but how could I pass up .22lr in stock online and a $200 MIR on Remington buckshot??? [dig]
Now I need to justify a couple of 80% AR15 lowers and at least one parts kit from PSA.

I'd like to buy a machine gun but I will have to hit the Publishers Clearing House grand prize to do so. In the end, I guess I'm pretty well set though I would like one more AR carbine. Bushmaster has up to $200 in rebates for Black Friday but I can't any retailer local selling any on the cheap to make the rebates actually make it worthwhile to buy one.

People that complain about "price gouging' don't understand economics.
Prices are nothing more than information ... complaining about "price gouging" is to demand price controls (either via governmental action or by some sort of magical social contract) which means you don't support liberty and you don't understand economics and will gladly create shortages just so you can save a buck.
Ammo and reloading components, even though I don't have a press. I'll hope that the next tragedy for the Dems to exploit doesn't happen less than a week after I go and fire a combined 2500 rounds of my own ammo in a weekend. It cost me a lot more than I planned to restock. It was a fun weekend though.
Hopefully if she's elected we can get some group buys here and I can find someone's chainsaw to borrow. [Coffee]

Single Payer Ammo would fix all this. .22LR is a human right!
Not even remotely related to the topic, but since rights were brought up...
Rights are what we are born with. They are not given to us by governments or other men. In fact governments must be prohibited and even violently resisted when those governments attempt to take those rights from us.
Otherwise, how can we remain free? How are we to pass on our legacy as free men and women to our children and our children's children if we do not defend what we have been born with?
This We'll Defend.
Be safe.

The problem is a section of feels, snowflake society wants to curtail, if not outright abolish, our rights .

Ok. So we all agree 22lr is a human right. Right?

Too many. But why do we need signatures? It's a right and the gov has a responsibility to tax everyone to fund it. Just .5% payroll tax and we could buy all the ammo we want.
It would make sure no child grew up without .22LR. You don't hate children, do you?

I don't think Hillary will ever be President (praise God/Allah/Jehovah/Yahweh/Manitou/the Lords of Kobol/etc.). However, whoever the next president is, s/he'll be stuck with a Godawful mess thanks to the Anointed One. Whatever I buy, it needs to be fungible and something that can't just be stolen by the FSA or seized by the borrow-spend-tax crowd. Ammo? I'll have shot it all up by then ... [Coffee] Guns? What use would I have for guns when I don't have any ammo? [Coffee]
The no child left unarmed act.
I wonder if that would put an end to bullying? If every elementary school kid was packing a SRAW, I think everyone would be afraid to so much as sneeze. There wouldn't be any school shootings or bullying. I think this could work out for liberals.
Let's not get crazy.
How about a Tasers for Tots program?
I'm excited to see what Black Friday brings but I've been working on things since prices hit rock bottom a year or so ago. I figured this was the last year of things being cheap. Once election year hits, things will probably go haywire for a bit.
Then we get this:
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2015/11/democrats_devious_gun_control_measure.html
The bill by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., would have the attorney general compile names of known and suspected terrorists, likely drawing from huge lists the government already keeps. Federally licensed gun dealers would be barred from selling firearms to people on that list if government officials believed they planned to use the weapons for terrorism.

Oh joy! So we DO get to strip rights based on what the .gov *thinks* someone might do. Better remove driver's licenses for anyone that says they drink alcohol because they *might* drive under the influence.

As long as there isn't any legislation outlawing the production of specific products, I don't think this is the last time we'll see cheap guns. Low prices are a result of a flooded market and despite any election results, I think the market will correct (as it always does) to offer the consumers the products they want for the prices they are willing to pay. If the industry makes too many AR parts or the consumers all max out their credit, the demand will again be low relative to the supply and we'll have $500 (or cheaper) ARs again.
Honestly, I love "election scares" like this because it drives many people who would not normally consider buying an AR or similar weapon to make their first purchase, along with tons of ammo. I like seeing the ammo shelves empty - It means that all that ammo is either being stored in somebody's home, or being used for training. Either of those is a good thing for the future of America. $2000 AR-15s? That just means that a lot of people who probably don't have one, want one.
I said this in another thread recently, but as of 2012, there were an estimated 300 Million guns in the United States, owned by more than 110 Million people. That stat obviously cannot account for "off the record" sales of any kind and or any sort of the "home innovations" like 80% lowers, etc. Think of how much has changed since 2012... How many guns and how much ammo have YOU bought since then? There have been countless articles and surveys about the record number of "first time" gun buyers during the last few years. AR production numbers are out of control (in a fantastic way).
I'm not too scared about what Hillary could do. I'm a lot more worried about the next 10 generations and the incremental limitations on liberty that have been occurring and will continue to occur if we continue to sit around and complain about it without putting our money toward real legislative change. Crazy idea: What if, instead of spending $200 on ammo or gun parts on black friday or during the next few months, we all gave that $200 to the NRA-ILA? Or as a direct campaign contribution to a politician that will absolutely 100% defend liberty? (not just when it benefits them... looking at you Rubio). Some people on this forum regularly spend THOUSANDS on guns, but probably never spend any money on elections. Just some food for thought.
You assume that the nra money is well spent. They're probably well past $200 in postage just sending me trash
