Right now I'm waiting on my 10th anniversary present of a Daniel Defense M4 to arrive. That's easy. Finding the present for my wife of a 22 stainless revolver that she's been looking for has proven much harder to come by...

Welcome Chad and good luck on that snipe hunt. I couldn't tell you the last time I saw a stainless .22 revolver (Of course, I wasn't looking for one so I may have come across one and just not remember it).

Welcome. If you are in the north area, I am almost positive I saw 1 or 2 stainless .22 revolvers at 5280 Armory last weekend.

I think at this point we're about willing to make the drive. She's got her heart set on a SW 317 hi-viz with the longer barrel, but they're just about impossible to find anywhere. Seems that every manufacturer has 428 different models of 2" in 38 special, but only make about 5 plinkers a year which quickly are gone.

Just want to report that my wife is EXTREMELY happy. She found her S&W 317 on Gunbroker that she's been looking for and is working out FFL and shipping right now. Now she gets to experience the joy of... the wait for it to arrive. Hehheh

Fantastic!

Is your wife a better shot than you yet? [Stooge]

mine is. [Cry]

Well.. The first time I took her shooting, she did do better than I did, being more concerned with making sure she knew what was going on. Now, her being totally a revolver girl, she can't out shoot me with pistols or rifles... but with wheelguns she's a natural.

It's been a few years since she's gone to the range, but really looking forward to going again. This time around she's going to take some classes and learn the skills behind what she does naturally.

My wife can definitely out-shoot me with a handgun - both revolvers and semi's.

Mine will definitely be able to if I continue shooting like I did last night, although it was with 2 brand new firearms.

First up was a new carry Ruger LCR. Comfortable, easy to fire, great trigger, ate up the +P. Much less recoil than all the reviews say. But I need to get night sights put on it once some are available, it was just too hard to keep a nice grouping, although overall nothing missed an 8" target at 7 yards.

Then came my new DDM4. Shot nice tight groups freehand, although about 3" low and left at 15&20 yards. And damnit if I didn't lose my front sight tool years ago. And then it failed to lock back the bolt on an empty mag consistently, with two failures to feed. So serious short stroking issues, but I'm about 99% sure I left the bolt too dry after initial cleaning. So after getting home last night, cleaned it again, and made sure the bolt carrier was almost dripping with oil. I figure after it's broken it I'll be able to use less.
